It was zephyros who blew the discus off-course and caused your untimely and wholly unnecessary death, because I guess he comes from the “if I can’t have them, nobody can” school of dealing with his feelings.

HE IS MUCH TOO INFURIATED to listen properly. pierre’s voice, calm, almost pleading as it is, is not enough to calm the tempest raging in fedya’s mind. it was nikolai rostov that had planted this seed. he was the one who had rejected sonya, therefore pulling the trigger FAR BEFORE he challenged the assassin himself. ( PIERRE, GOOD MAN, WOULD YOU BE MY SECOND ? ) scoffing, dolokhov stares down the gun in his hand, unable to see pierre the same after he had missed him before with the same pistol. as if a phantom pain has returned, his side ACHES.
