it's probably bc i'm such an oldie in the 5sos fandom now but sometimes i can't wrap my head around the fact that there are people who have only joined the fandom after calm. my brain still thinks people who have joined after youngblood are new. it's so weird when you've been a fan for 6 years and in the tumblr fandom for 5 years and there are so many different people now and only a handful left that have been here since then. you not only watch the band grow and change, you also watch the fandom change and grow. it kind of feels like being stuck on a bus or train, everyone's leaving at some point, some might come back later, new ones are entering and you're the only one who's still there.
