eitaenomoto :
Eita nodded slowly as he took in Natsuko’s reasoning, letting out a long hum of interest. It made perfect sense to him—if everyone here kept asking her for a kiss, she wouldn’t have any free time! He didn’t like chores much either.
“Hmmm ~ Yeah,” he answered, touching his cheek again. “It was!” When she mentioned her next point—letting him be her bodyguard—Eita did not hesitate to nod in agreement. “Okay!” he blurted out. Then his thoughts caught up with him, and he looked down at the red string tied around his finger.
“Ah- …” He froze, his already-blank eyes glazing over. “Maybe if you come live with me and my bosses … Then …” Eita’s head tilted heavily to one side, his brain working overtime—it was a wonder he had not caught fire already. “Then ~ … hmmmm … maybe … if you follow me around while I’m working ~ …”
“Yeah! I can guard you!” he decided, brightening. “I’m pretty good with a gun!”
Natsuko blushed, and for a moment, her expression mocked something of sympathy. But it was gone just as quickly as it had come. Eita was cute, and she really, truly, liked him. And for Natsuko, a deep desire to be close with someone didn’t come often.
“E-Eh, Eita-chan. . . ? That’s, like, REALLY cute! I’ll make sure to get out of here with you, m’kay?”
Her voice almost mimicked a soft hum momentarily as she pressed her hands together in a clap. This called for celebration, she thought- two students with dreams of being together in the future, and a motivation to get out. If only there was a way...She’d already investigated every crevice of this place for a loop hole, albeit there was none.
“We can do all sorts of stuff together. I’ll show you how to act; you can teach me how to use a gun-- I haven’t even seen one in all of Japan. Crazy, huh!” She was getting a bit sidetracked. “And I’ll give you as many kisses as you want, okay~?”
eitaenomoto :
If her smile was forced, Eita didn’t notice—he returned the smile tenfold, letting out a laugh of surprise as Natsuko pinched his cheek. When she told him that he must have something, he thought on it again. Did he? Was there anything he wouldn’t say if someone asked him? Eita was staring at the ceiling, deep in thought, when Natsuko’s voice pulled his attention back to her.
“Huh? Oh! Okay!” he blurted, awaiting the special secret she had in store for him. When she leaned in close, Eita expected some whispered words. His vacant eyes widened when he got a kiss on the cheek instead. Reflexively, he put a hand to the very spot Natsuko had kissed.
“Ha ha ~ I guess that’s what a secret is!” he said, happy for this new information. “So … I won’t tell anyone. Right?” Eita paused. After a few more seconds of thought, he leaned down to plant a return kiss on Natsuko’s forehead.
Something about Eita really was adorable. Her cheeks darkened a little in color as he returned her gesture by placing a warm kiss on her forehead; she thought it to be cute and endearing- something innocent and worthy of being cherished. It made Natsuko feel a little more human at heart.
“Most kisses aren’t secrets, but one from me has to be, or else everyone else will want one, too!”
Admittedly, there was likely no one else in here who liked her enough- even platonically, mind you- to want such physical contact, but she was a simple-minded person. Had to keep up that nonchalant, ever-so-confident act, or else she risked exposing too much of her personal life to those who didn’t deserve it.
“Say, Eita-chan, was that your first kiss? So cute, so cute~! If Monokuma ever lets us out of here, you can even be my personal bodyguard!”- His talent was useful in that respect, no?
sirmichaelthebara :
“Oh wonderful. Miss soon-to-be-washed-up. Just who I wanted to see.” He complained to no one. “Are you really that selfish that you want everyone to abstain from murdering just so you can FULFILL YOUR CURIOSITY?” His voice raised into a shout, before he cleared his throat again.
“My apologies. But to be honest, I do not get you. Why do you insist on acting like this is not a big deal? All of our lives are on the line, and you are too busy being a diva to care.” He asked.
Natsuko almost laughed at him, but it was really frustrating that no matter how hard she might try, she always ended up talking to this dude. He was really obnoxious and always tried to act all high-and-mighty around her, often dissing out insults for no real reason, not that she cared either way.
“Yeah, because I don’t care what happens to you at all?”
At least she was being honest, even if it was a totally selfish thing to say. Maybe some part of her did care about some people- more specifically Eita and even Ayato had grown on her, but if Michael died, she probably wouldn’t notice, aside from the fact it’d be a lot more quiet...
eitaenomoto :
Eita was wandering by when he heard Natsuko’s voice. He turned towards her at the first word, listening with his usual vacant smile. To her suggestion, the bodyguard responded with a lively nod.
“Okay!” he blurted out obediently. “I don’t have any secrets, but I can make one up if you want! … Though …” he looked up at the ceiling in sincere confusion. “ … What kind of thing would a secret be?”
Was he really that much of an open book? Natsuko turned to him and smiled, but did so almost passive-aggressively. It wasn’t genuine, that was for sure, given she was thoroughly disappointed by his lack of dirt. But there had to be SOMETHING about him, or else Monokuma wouldn’t suggest such a motive, right?
“Eita-chan, you’re so cute. . .!”
She told him, softly pinching one of his cheeks. Even if she was displeased by him, she had to admit, he was still one of her favorite people in here. A breath of fresh air... or rather, he was someone she could easily make bend to her will.
“You must have something, right? Or else that’s really lame. . .”
She paused and thought about it some. He didn’t strike her as someone very smart; then again, she wasn’t either, but it was no fun at all for him to be this dense. So, she was going to do him a favor.
“Okay, Eita-chan~ Here’s something you can hide from everyone else, okayyy? If anyone finds out, they’ll be super jealous.”
She then tried to place a playful kiss directly on his cheek.
woah
Natsuko was in shock. Not about Ohito, because admittedly she didn’t care about him at all- he was only fun to mess with- but her secret was going to be broadcast throughout Japan? Well, it was okay if everyone in here knew, because she didn’t care what they thought, but her fans? What would her loyal, devoted fans do if they realized...?
Haha, just kidding. She didn’t care about that either. In fact, the more controversial she became, the more fans she would acquire. And she loved drama and the attention she got from others defending her. Plus, it wasn’t all that bad of a secret, considering it happened years ago, so she brushed it aside. It was a simple, understandable mistake, and if she cried enough to the public and made excuses, she’d surely be forgiven.
That aside, the motive drop meant another body would be soon, and that meant the place would be messy with blood yet again- not her favorite thing in the world.
However, there was one tiny thing that piqued her interest...
“Hey, no one should kill, okay? That way I can know all of you guys’ cute little secrets, yeah?”

Sir Michael turned towards her and grimaced. “Ah. In addition to being spoiled rotten, you are also ignorant. I do not see why you act so high and mighty in a time like this, but there is no reasoning with foolishness, I suppose.” He said
“Lady Azami perished when we all attacked the bear. She had her heart torn out of her body.” He said. “Did you seriously only crawl out from under your rock to beat us in that contest?” He asked. “Are you SERIOUSLY blowing this off?” He growled.
Natsuko looked at her nails and didn’t pay him any mind. He was always so pointlessly high-and-mighty in her eyes, and even though she wasn’t the smartest of individuals, nor did she make friends all that easily, she still didn’t pick fights like he did. Plus, she was hell of a lot cuter than him, so she easily had the upper hand.
“No offense, but that wasn’t my stupid idea. Attacking the bear is dumb, you know! Wasn’t that, like, against the rules?”
Even Natsuko herself knew that going after a violent criminal animal wasn’t the best plan- at least not going into it head-first. It required a little more... sneakiness and planning. Nothing with that much muscle would go down without a fight, even in a place known for its strong cast of characters.
“If you wanna be dumb like that again, don’t involve me, okay? But it is silly to let the body’s goods go to waste. I mean, like... savor some stuff in memory of her... or whatever.”
She was totally lying through her teeth, and it was obvious but oh well.

Natsuko found herself bottled up in her room; after all, the losing team decided they were going to be unbearably stinky, and she just couldn’t handle that. That said, everyone had to eat at some point- herself included- and she decided to exit her safe haven for a little floor exploration anyway. Besides, wasn’t someone just killed? And was it possible to look through their items for a little... something to serve as a memory of the deceased? Or that was going to be the excuse anyway.
Even so, she ended up at the smoothie bar, leaning over the table and taking small sips of the vitamin water she took from the freezer. It wasn’t the most gourmet snack ever, but it was decent enough, she supposed.
However, she still had to take a peek at the body, albeit she wasn’t around at the time and had little clue where the event had even taken place. So, she’d have to find someone with a little more information than herself. Once done with the water, she tossed it in the trash and moved aside to go look around. She half hoped that there wouldn’t be too much blood around, because that was gross, but goods were goods.
When a person’s voice came into earshot, she turned on her heel to face them, her bright smile present on her face.
“Hey,” she greeted in a sing-songy tone. “So, like, what happened earlier? With the Azami chick? Is she still around here?”

sirmichaelthebara :
“They won’t open, Lady Natsuko. Not unless one is physically unable to take the stairs.” He informed her. “I do not believe it would be wise to enter that anyway. Entering an enclosed, metal space as long as that bear is around seems like an incredibly painful idea.” He pointed out. “Unless you have a thing for pain. I have met a few people like that.” He joked.
“You seem awfully calm considering that two of our friends are dead, and more are likely to die before we escape this facility.” He said, his expression hardening.
“Tell me. Do you actually grasp the severity of the situation here? That each of us is in grave peril at all times?” He asked, honestly curious if she understood, or if she was clueless of it. In which case, he cold probably put her in the “Not a threat” category with Eita, Ohito, and Peach. In her own subcategory as a spoiled brat, of course.
Natsuko didn’t stop hitting the button, and in fact, ignored most of what he said. His voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard, and he was a nagging annoyance to her at best. She’d have much rather continued her business without his input, but he was asking a question and probably required some sort of response. She sighed a bit, but relentlessly hit “DOWN” all the while, whilst trying not to look in his direction.
“No offense, dude, but I really don’t care as long as I don’t die. But, if you drop dead tomorrow, then that’s okay, but just don’t get your blood anywhere near me. Don’t get it on the carpets either- I walk on those! In fact, just go die outside or something.”
She sounded quite serious despite the theatrical fluctuation in her tone. In all honesty, she wasn’t all that smart, nor did she pose much of a threat to anyone, but that didn’t mean she cared about them either. Which could, at times, be a very dangerous combination.
Damn, Kid • Open
Natsuko, admittedly, wanted no part of the trial. It was silly, and dumb, and she didn’t do her hair right, so it had been bugging her the whole time. On the bright side, she had a new admiration for Eita. What a good kid- obeying her ridiculous whims and whatnot. On the other hand, she hated the “knight”- could you really call him that?- more than ever.
So, she headed towards the second floor, but found no rooms to her liking, much to her dismay. Instead, she spend a good six or so minutes staring at the elevator door and hitting the button “DOWN” more times than she could count. It didn’t seem to work, but maybe if she was persistent- or rather, annoying- enough, it might do something?
Nope, it didn’t. But what instead happened was likely her looking like a fool to anyone who passed by. She didn’t care- when did Natsuko ever? She just continued pressing the buttons with more and more gusto the more time went on.
“Come on, come on, come on!”
She sang loudly as she jumped up and down on her heels. She was a little too calm, considering people were literally dead, but something about this elevator button must have been so damn appealing.

sirmichaelthebara :
“My apologies, Lady Katsuko, but I only bow down to royalty! And you meet neither the blood requirement, majority vote requirement, or general attitude fitting of a queen!” Sir Michael explained, folding his arms. “Royalty should be kind, or at least respectful towards their subjects. But you are too rude for me to have even considered to vote for you.” He admitted. “Though maybe if you ask Lady Peach, Lord Nakakushi, or even the bear nicely, you can become a royal duchess or advisor!” He said with a hearty laugh.
“Excuse me?” She said, eyebrows furrowing together in frustration. “I think I’m super cute and kind, thank you.” (But she sure could be a hell of a lot ruder, if he continued to insult her like this.)
“The problem is, I don’t WANT to be an adviser. I’m someone fitting of the queen role. So sorry if you can’t see the truth; you must be blind~”

Bow seemed really disappointed with the voted king and queen. “Oh really? why the hell would I do that, I’ve done nothing wrong”
“You seem to be rather interested in cute things or whatever Bow, acting like a three year old isn’t considered cute….” What would you know about that stuff? A smirk appeared on his face.
“For five coins, I’ll pour what’s left of the punch on one of the winners. How does that sound?” Ayato no.
“Of course not- but who’s acting like a three-year-old?” She answered and grinned. “I know you’re not talking about me right?” She tried to sound threatening, but it didn’t really work. Her voice was far too high pitched.
“Sounds like a good deal though,” she added, taking out five of her coins. Thankfully, she hadn’t used any yet; she’d been saving up for an opportunity like this.
She slammed the coins in the palm of his hand and winked at him.
“Go on. I’m waiting. Don’t let me down, Mask-chan.”
She had to admit, though, he really did have a cute face. Even if he was kind of a jerk.

Ohito jumped with a yelp, nearly stumbling when he came down since he couldn’t see where he was landing. He hadn’t talked to people nearly enough to recognize all of their voices, so the only certainty was that this wasn’t Peach.
“AaaaAAAAAH I’M SORRY WH-WHAT DID I DO—”
Clamping his jaw shut but whimpering nonetheless, he panicked and shuffled his feet around, but he didn’t think he’d stepped on anyone’s toes. Not literally, at least. It seemed all he could do was sweat and wait for clarification.
“Geeze, calm down,” Natsuko answered, giving him a wink. “I’m just a liiiiiittle disappointed I’m not prom queen, and somehow a person like you got voted as the king. Don’t you see how that’s not really fair?”
She paused, a frown forming on her lips as she took the time to think about it. “I feel like there should be a re-vote or something. There’s no way this wasn’t cheated, because I’m by far more worthy of the title of royalty. Don’t’cha think, Ohito-chan~”
Of course, he’d have to agree with her, or he’d be subject to her sharp tongue. Surely he had to know that.
「 self-destruction 」
arguablyrebellious :
Alastor was even more confused by proms at this point in time. He didn’t vote as well, he more got lost in the concept and refused to try and understand it. The events which followed the crowning baffled him but he just? had to accept it?
Was it normal for the ‘king’ and ‘queen’ to be blinded? Well, he assumed so at the sudden voice from his side. Alastor looked to the admittedly very adorable looking girl and offered a lopsided grin.
“Oh I am horribly sorry I didn’t use my vote for someone I didn’t know. If I knew you were this pretty I might have considered voting.” He announces melodramatically, dropping to one knee and bowing his head down to her. Yeah, He’ll play along, sure he will. This all occurred and his grin remained.
“I mean, unless you’re living under a rock, you’ve definitely heard of me. Natsume Natsuko? I’m famous,” she said in reply, but given that he wasn’t exactly... the most fashionable person ever, he probably was. But, in his own way, he was still kind of cute.
“That’s okay! Now you know me, so next time that won’t happen right?” She added, whilst blinking her eyelashes flirtatiously and blowing him a playful kiss. “Or else~”
On the bright side, if he was bowing that meant he was totally willing to be her loyal subject, right? At least, that was what she hoped, else he’d have an enemy on his side.
「 self-destruction 」
Natsuko held her breath and glared at the other students. She looked lovely, as per usual, and even went to lengths to do her hair really nicely for the event. So why, out of all the people in this damned place, was she NOT elected the prom queen- or even the king, for fuck’s sake. She’d be happy with any title so long as a crown was on her head.
Granted, the winners were now blinded, but Natsuko wouldn’t have minded the repercussions of fame. Just so long as she got to live in the moment, to be the center of attention. But now she knew just how her classmates felt about her; she’d have to step up her game just a little and outdo Peach Law next time.
“I’m disappointed in all of you,” she confided in the person standing closest to her. “You should at least bow down and apologize.”

eitaenomoto :
Despite its title, Eita had not entered the yoga room to perform any sort of yoga. Far from the door, the bodyguard had been attempting to assemble various yoga mats into a fort, but it never made it past three before falling down. He had settled for a three-mat structure—two walls and one ceiling—and was crouching inside it when he noticed Natsuko at the other end of the room.
“Ah– … Huh? …Huh?” Her words caught him off guard. He let out a long, thoughtful hum as he tried to make sense of them. “Did I make us lose?” he finally said, pointing up at his face as he peered over at Natsuko with his blank eyes.
“Oops! Aha ~ Okay! I’ll try harder next time!” Eita threw a fist into the air, which collided with the ceiling of his three-mat fort and sent the whole thing crashing down. He did not seem to mind.
“Natsu… Natsu-chan!” he blurted out the first cute nickname he could think of—not terribly original, but it served its purpose. Smiling brightly, the bodyguard stood and began his journey across the room. He leapt from one yoga mat to the other, pausing every so often to look for the best path so that he would not touch the floor. Once he had finally reached Natsuko, he raised a hand in greeting. “I’m Eita Enomoto!”
Natsuko watched him in astonishment. What was he doing, exactly? Making a fort? For what reason- to hide? For fun? Was he that much of a child at heart? She giggled softly to herself and continued eyeing him since she had nothing better to be doing.
She was mostly just surprised at how he took her insults like a champ.
“Eita-chan is good then? I’ll call you that,” she said, jumping straight into formalities, not caring whether or not he had an opinion on that. “Say, if you’re going to build stuff with the mats, you should build me a throne. I’ve always wanted to be a queen.”
Her lips curved into a wide smile, and she twirled a strand of hair around her fingers. “So? Get to it, hot shot. I’ll reward you with a kiss, if you’re lucky enough~”

Crying hard and sudden enough he’d started hiccuping, Ohito didn’t put his arms down. He barely knew her and she didn’t like him because he was scared and useless and she was going to kill him she was going to kill him oh God—
“I’msorryI’msorryI’ms-sorryI…” Choking on tears, he did his best the shrink back more, but it was a failed attempt. “Pl-l-l-lease d-don’t k… P-please don’t-t-t… P-p-p-please…”
Natsuko blinked, watching his reaction before laughing hysterically.
“I’m really not going to hurt you, okay? That’d get your blood all over my outfit, you know? Super uncool.” It was clear she didn’t really care about his feelings at all; she just wanted him to shut up. All the crying and whimpering was totally unflattering on a guy who could otherwise be pretty cute.
