Be careful what you wish for | Rosalia | Chapter 4 | Vietheater | RE: Raya
It was understandable that Raya would lash out. After all, she first lost her boyfriend and now she would lose yet another friend.
However, while understandable, Rosalia wouldn’t put up with all the insults thrown their way for something to be rightfully angry about.
“You are obviously biased, Lukova.”
The contrast between her earier outburst and now was clear as a day; it appeared as if she had unbottled all of her frustrations out, but now she was back to being collected.
“I was not even close to Namiko, yet I am angry on her behalf because yes, her death was unnecessarily brutal. I do not even claim that the others weren’t - do not put words into my mouth -, but this was excessive. Pray, tell me - if you have to look at the remains of a loved one, would you rather look at them still being as they were or as a heaps of bones? For that is the reality that everyone is faced now who ever cared for Namiko. And I truly doubt that Kujou hadn’t at least accounted for the possibility of someone walking in on it, as the aquarium is clearly a well-beloved spot.”
“Furthermore, how was anyone supposed to know that you told her everything about yourself? You only admitted to it after the both of you were already going at each other’s throats. And as far as I can recall, Shoko was clearly trying to break it up. I have not said anything during that trial, because… I wasn’t able to. Though that is not important anymore.”
“… Not to mention that you seem either ignorant or willfully blind to your own behaviour. I do not presume to know your issues, but just because they might be understandable, they don’t excuse your actions. I do not think I need to remind you how often you have insulted everyone. Or how you are wishing us all dead and claiming us to be awful people because we are rightfully angry at yet another brutal death.”
“Can you truly claim there was no better way to kill Namiko, if Kujou already did it in order to protect you? For example, a knife to the heart after she fell unconscious - wouldn’t you think that this is much better than setting up such a trap that anyone could’ve walked into? And how can you be so certain that she was unconscious for sure, if it took so much time to set up and be tripped up? What if she wasn’t? Then what?”
“If you are allowed to be upset about Kujou’s fate, then so is Yuuki for Namiko’s death. For one of them is the victim, while the other hasmurdered on purpose - and do not even dare to insinuate that Lady Kiaria was the same. In case you forgot, she was assaulted first and was defending her own life at the time. Clearly, different than what occured now.”
For a moment, Rosalia went quiet, before she continued on.
“… Still, I do concur that I shouldn’t have blown up so much, but you would excuse me for showing anger after all that has transpired. There is a limit to everything and I have reached mine that time.”
“I am thankful that she took the kill, but not for how she went about it. I will not apologize for voicing out my opinion on the matter.”
“… But you really should be careful for what you wish, Lukova, as the bomb going off would mean everyone would die - which also includes Fumi. Do you honestly desire for more death? I do not believe you do. And if you do… What does that say about you? Especially considering that you were apparently willing to sacrifice one of us to save Kujou, given how you were communicating during the whole trial?”
At this point, she just looked sad, defeated even.
“Pray, tell me, what does this say about you as a person? Because I don’t… understand.”
