Ah, so it was personal! Toiawa didn't really see how someone could be hated for being too human like, but he could ponder that later. Maybe he should do some research in the evening about this scientist, he could easily find out about his identity with some effort. Anyway, for now he should focus on his conversation with Adele. He didn't want to interupt her, as she finally seemed to let go of her stress, so he just noded and smiled when she talked about how she wanted to be fantastic too at her talent.

"When I was a kid he'd always teach me things... And when he was first making Daichi, he even... brought him to France to show me his progress. It was so cool... He is so handsome. He's coming to visit soon-" On and on and on she gushed about this guy. It seemed like she really respected him, if not had a huge crush on him.

 "I hope to be like that some day. His A.I.s are always so good and I love-" Maybe she'd never stop talking. This was getting boring. "He'd always give me gifts when he'd visit and it was so nice and thoughtful and-" Suddenly, the realization of how much she'd been talking dawned on her. Her face reddened and once again, she hid it with her hair. "Sorry... I talked a lot, didn't I?"

Hm? Fix a boy? Toiawa had no idea that there existed A.I complex enough to simulate human behaviour! Given the way she talked, it would also appear that it was quite the advanced robot too, in a pure mechanical sense.  How exciting! What kind of reason would there be for her to consider it a secret? It couldn't be because its a state secret, if that were the case Adele sure as hell wouldn't have made that slip. It being a company secret were a bit less unlikely, but not very likely either. No way to be sure really, with this little information.

"Oh don't worry! I wont tell anyone if you dont want it to be known publically!"

Well, he might, but there were no reason to do that. There were to little information to go on as well.

"Well.... I...It's not really my secret per-say... It's his. He doesn't want people to... hate him.... So, he keeps it a secret..."

Adele shyly looked down at the ground and fidgeted with the hem of her shirt.

"I don't really blame him, either... But for a different reason... His dad is a world famous scientist and if people knew that... reporters probably wouldn't leave him alone. He's so advanced, it's amazing..."

A sigh escaped her lips and she flipped her hair over her shoulder as she talked. Boy, it seemed like once she got talking, nothing could shut her up.

"His dad is really amazing, though. I always looked up to him as a child.... He's so brilliant... I hope to achieve that same level one day."

"Hm? Ah, how cool! I’ve never read up on the science of robots that much, but if you got that talent, it must mean that you are hella smart!"

"So you’re working for someone here? Is it alright if i ask who? Take as much time as you want, explaining things in another language must be exhausting!"

"Oh, um, thank you... I guess I'm kind of smart... Maybe..

 Hmmm... I'm working for this boy named Daichi. His dad hired me to fix him when he breaks because he... can't be here all the time......."

"Wait. Actually, maybe that was supposed to be a secret.... Oops..."

"Oh, i’m Toiawaseru Noizu, SHSL philosopher! You can just call me Toiawa though. What’s your name and talent?"

"To...awai.."

Well, she totally butchered that pronunciation.

"Erm... I'm Adele... SHSL Robotics Engineer... I'm sort of... working as a personal mechanic for someone my family knows here..."

"Oh, so you're a french beauty? How exciting! I would probably be nervous too if i were in a new country, in a new unfamiliar school!  And hey, if you ever need help with something like homework you can just ask me, i got loads of freetime!"

"Thank you. My Japanese.... Isn't the best yet.... So I have to go very slowly... My apologies..."

With a smile, she gave a slight bow, indicating that she was grateful.

"What... Is your name, by the way?"

Oops. She certainly didn't seem to be getting less nervous, to say the least. As her food dropped to the floor and her beverage got out of the glass, he decided to go get some tissues. He came back with a bunch of them, got on his knees, and said:

"Hey, its okay to be a bit nervous when its your first day! It's usually a sign that school matters to you!"

Adele hesitated before deciding to get on the floor and help him clean up. Her hand darted into her purse, retrieving a few napkins and going to work.

"I-I guess you could say that.... It's just the first time I've been to a school like this before... And it's the first time I've ever left France..."

Once the mess had been thoroughly cleaned, she got back on her feet. She briskly walked over to the nearest trash can and dropped the dirty napkins in, turning around again shyly.

"Er... Thanks for helping me...."

Adele had been walking in the hallway, not really paying any attention to where she was going. She was just checking out the rest of the school when it happened-- Her whole body slammed into someone else's and she quickly jumped back.

"Oh my... I... I'm really sorry. Please forgive me..."

"Whoa, cool! Robotics! I have a ton of games with a lot of robotic stuff in them, ever hear of MechWarrior or BattleTech?"

"N...No.... Sorry..... I'm not much one for games... But maybe... if they had robots in them... I would be..."

Toiawa had been sitting in the cafeteria, eating his favorite cheap mass-produced ramen noodles when he heard the shy girl speak up. He looked at the snack, saw that it was a decent taste, and said:

"Sure!"

He looked at her before adding:

"Hey, are you feeling alright? You seem a bit nervous."

The question seemed to make her even more nervous as she waved her hands in front of her face.

"No.. I mean, yes! I'm okay! It's just my first day here... So... I'm a bit on edge, that's all..."

With one swift movement, he moved her hand out for a handshake, but knocked the rest of her food to the floor. Looking at the mess, Adele quickly buried her face in her hands. Her hair fell in a peach curtain over her, further hiding her face. She knew it was a bad idea to approach a stranger, embarrassing stuff liked this always happened.

There she was, sitting at a table in the cafeteria, as close to the window as she could get. Adele smiled, looked at the scenery, and took in the outside of the school. It had been her first day of classes, and in her nervousness she could not bring herself to eat one bit. She soon decided it was selfish to waste food and, grabbing her unopened bag of chips, she shyly spoke up to the first person she saw.

"E...excuse me, sir... Do you want these... Maybe...?"
