I'm going nuts over some rare model sheets for the Tokimeki Tonight anime that have popped up on Twitter and Mandarake.
It looks like Shinya Takahashi drew all the model sheets for the recurring cast, despite the fact he only did animation for two episodes. Judging by the DVD booklet, guest characters were designed by whichever animation director was handling that specific episode.
Here's a wild discovery: Rinze was supposed to appear as teenager in episode 29! I always thought it was weird they omitted teen Rinze from the manga.
There's a model sheet for naked Shun, which shouldn't surprise me because there were also ones for Ranze and Kaede. Looks like the comment says something like, guys in shoujo manga have more feminine-shaped bodies?? Lol.
