Investigating EA
Do they really deserve players?
Petition to EA?
Unlike some,
I do not need to call people psycho. Iām all fine and dandy. EAās company. If they wanted to speak up, they would. They do not need players to do that for them.
I find it interesting that itās always content creators who complain about people āstealingā aka sharing purchased pixels from them when they turn around do illegal actions themselves. Sharing peopleās personal information with other content creators on patreon is breaking one of their security rules but some of you want to cry about people sharing your content?
You guys always take it to far, the doxxing, harrasement, and sharing personal info that could literally ruin someone financially beats your hurt feelings over someone uploading a package of your broken/high poly cc. You are messing around with peopleās lives over a game that you donāt even own the rights to and it absolutely ridiculous. As for the people who run to kiss content creators ass, what are you getting out of it? Are you getting free cc? Do they become your life long friend? Do they call to check up on you when youāre sick? Did it shave 10 years off your life? Are they paying your rent? what is it giving you? Cause the people who buy their content and sharing with the rest of us are helping you from these greedy ass content creators who donāt care about you but just your wallet.
So as far as Iām concerned, if this type of behavior is okay from content creators, then by all means keep sharing their content. If you bought it, you can share it. So if content creators like Slephora (which is funny cause their name is a play off sephora, putting an L doesnāt change the fact you ripped it from Sephora) are publically telling people they are going to share peopleās personal info with others, screen shot it and send it to patreon. You can check their security page here and you can email them at [email protected]. If you feel like youāve been wrongfully blocked by a content creator(s) and you find yourself being or have been blocked by multiple content creators out of the blue, then that is pure evidence that your information was leaked/shared and you can go to patreon and show/tell them that. A lot of times there are innocent people who are just being randomly blocked and having their information shared and thatās not okay.
Iād also recommend contacting Sephora (the company) about the copyright infringement using this email: [email protected] Since this person wants to use their brand to make money off of it. :) Remember, personal info, even as simple as a first + last name and email can tell you a lot. It can allow you to look people up on facebook, it can allow you to potentially see what people do for work, etc. All of that information should not be shared by people on patreon. You are trusting them with your info when you purchase something. If they want to āblock youā sure. Thatās fine. But going and distributing your personal information to other creators is not acceptable and should be reported RIGHT away. :)
Forgive me for any mistakes or weird formatting, Iām on mobile but Iām sick of hearing creators sharing personal information of their pledges (yes, an email is personal info) with others. You see this shit happening, report them right away instead of waiting for others to do it.
You donāt even have to be the one they did it to for Patreon to do something about it.
These gross creators have gotten too comfortable. Show them that there are consequences for their goddamn actions.

Interesting. But you do have proof that creators are actually sharing subscribers āpersonal informationā? It is very serious accusation to make, and this kind of report would not be valid without actual evidence. To falsely accuse a creator of doing so could very well get you into legal trouble, given the nature of the accusation.Ā Patreon creators do not need to give out any personal information of a subscriber who is pirating their creations. They can easily and legally share your PUBLIC profile with other creators, which they are legally allowed to do, and let other creators know that way, leading to you be āmass blockedā and thus having your account flagged, and possibly terminated, as well as any future account you create. Patreon takes piracy reports very seriously. You also seem to be missing one valid point, though. When you choose to join patreon, you agree to their Terms of use.
As stated above in patreonās Terms of use,
- Creators keep full ownership of all creations they offer on patreon, and - Patrons MAY NOT use creations posted by creators in any way not authorized by the creator.
In a nutshell, you do notĀ āownā any of the benefits received, and if a creator specifically states that you cannot redistribute their content, you canāt. To do so, would be breaking the terms you legally agreed to when joining.
There have been multiple instances of sim creators taking the info of people who they suspect are sharing their content and sharing it in their little circles. If you took the time to actually look at and read @mack3030āā ās tumblr (instead of this pathetic alt-account, faux lawyer, copy-paste thing youāve been doing), youād see that have a pinned post full of multiple examples of creators doxing and black-listing the people who pay them a wage.Ā
That includes that little screenshot up top with Sephora-- my bad! I meant Slephora basically ratting themselves out toĀ sharing the personal name and email of whoever they assume are sharing their āworkā. Man, ego really makes people do crazy things, donāt it?Ā
Oh, and hereās my personal favorite from Plasticsims!
It doesnāt matter if itās personal or public info, giving out someoneās real life information still goes against the terms of service for many sites, including Patreon! And itās still morally fucked up no matter how you try to spin it, even if it is to Beyonceās song Survivor lol.
Now, about the trademark and copy-right laws; these were meant to protect people who actually OWN what they make. You know, people who draw, paint, do podcasts or make videos and/or music, etc.
Not people who make their wage off of the sims. A property owned by Electronic Arts. Speaking of which, here comes my favorite part thatĀ ācreatorsā like Slephora and flying monkies like you love to hate:
Hereās the same text transcribed if you need it, but you probably wonāt read it right?
When you contribute UGC, you grant to EA, its licensors and licensees a non-exclusive, perpetual, transferable, worldwide, sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works, publicly perform, publicly display or otherwise transmit and communicate the UGC, or any portion of it, in any manner or form and in any medium or forum, whether now known or later devised, without notice, payment or attribution of any kind to you or any third party.Ā
You also grant to all other users who can access and use your UGC on an EA Service the right to use, copy, modify, display, perform, create derivative works from, and otherwise communicate and distribute your UGC on or through the relevant EA Service without further notice, attribution or compensation to you.
Still having a hard time processing thisĀ ābrand newā information? Have a direct linkĀ so you can look for yourself.Ā With this stewing in your head, take a look at this example of a situation Iāve cooked up to convert this into simpler terms:
Say if Jane wanted to take Slephoraās āGoogle Images/Pinterestā lipstick CC and recolor them and then redistribute them, well, Jane would be within her right to do so since both Jane and Slephora agreed to EAās terms of service when they first made an EA/Origin account.
Patreonās Copyright and Trademark policies do not protect content made for and using The Sims 4 as a platform to host plain and simple.
But, hey! Iām sure these creators who have never acknowledged your existence let alone ever thought about you really do appreciate your attempt at being sims lawyer 2.0.
Soā¦thatās worth something I guess!
Read carefully >
āUCG on or THROUGH a relevant EA serviceā The Gallery is the only relevant EA service. Content acquired from Patreon is not content accessed from a relevant EA service. Patreon and such sites are not affiliated with EA.Ā As for Slephora, their name is their problem, however people shouldnāt make assumptions that he is sharing āpersonal informationā, when there is no actual evidence.Ā āPatreonās Copyright and Trademark policies do not protect content made for and using The Sims 4 as a platform to host plain and simpleā Do you work for Patreon? Where does it state that? Must have missed that bit! People are freely and legally allowed to share links to PUBLIC pages, a public page is not private nor personal information. Just the same as people share profiles with one another from many different sites around the world; āHey, have you seen this twitter profile *link*?ā āHey, have you seen this instagram *link*?ā It is not illegal to share a public profile. This is why there is so much spoken about about what you should and shouldnāt post online. If they PUBLICLY share things that are not already PUBLIC, such as full name, private email, etc. then yes, that is indeed DOXXING. However, if someone is engaging in piracy to start with, it is a bit hypocritical. Whatās morally fucked up is pirating to start with, then complaining youāve been blocked. Funny how yāall miss this part, too.
But, uh, āItās just worded badly!ā How convenient. The copyright law was already in place long before EA;
And;
Sorry, what exactly do you think the game The Sims is? An EA service.
What do you think Origin is? An EA service.
I would love to see where it says otherwise or specifies that the Gallery is the only service regarding the sims series as a whole.
These creators use TS4 and Origin as a platform required for their content to work. Iām sick of you and all these other physco creators throwing those doctored screenshots around.Ā
Drake was not apart of EAās legalĀ departmentĀ at their time of employment.
Even if these screenshots were real, they still hold no weight.Ā On top of the fact that the source of those screen shots remains unknown as well as unconfirmed by Drake still to this day.
Patreonās TOS does not protect a creator using The Sims 4 and Origin when the TOS (for said platform required for the content to even work in the first place) states that creators do not hold the right to what they create for any sims entry.Ā
Also, may I say thatĀ itās quite hypocriticalĀ of you to throw copyright and trade-mark laws around when there are creators who use brand names like Gucci, Supreme, Louis Vuitton, Bergdorf, Sephora in the content they ācreateā.Ā Iām sure you donāt go around bothering them with your āconfident nonsense speakā when they infringe on the copyright of these legitimate brands.
Or how about when they use copyright protected images from Pinterest or Google Images? Where were you then as this is the first time Iāve ever seen your account! Guess you were MIA?
But the second a creator rats themselves out about doxing someone, you magically appear. Even if it is public information, again, it isĀ still against Patreonās TOS to share the personal information of the people who pledge to you.Ā I cannot fathom why youāre attempting to explain away how doxing someone is āa-okay!!!ā because they shared something theyāve paid for.
Try and take any of this garbage to a judge and not be laughed out of the court house. If you were a real law student, you would know that.
I cannot understand why people like you do this whole song and dance for ācreatorsā who only see you as a dollar sign. Honestly, what sort of satisfaction do you get out of it?Ā Do yourself a favor and wasting your time defending and ass kissing these shitty creators.Ā
They wonāt return the favor, I promise you.
Also; yes, The Sims game itās self is an EA service. However, content acquired on Patreon is not acquiring content ON an EA service, itās acquiring it THROUGH patreon. Says there in BLACK AND WHITE; ON or THROUGH a relevant EA service; which is THE GALLERY.
I find it interesting that itās always content creators who complain about people āstealingā aka sharing purchased pixels from them when they turn around do illegal actions themselves. - In that case, how come you take what the exact same person said about early access, as a āRULEā?
And why isnāt this soĀ āearly access ruleā inĀ EAās TOS/EULA? You only chose to believe what you want to believe, and chose to ignore digital copyright laws to suit.
Do you honestly think EA wouldnāt have done something about this, if that was the case? Felix for example. Well known, friends with a GAME CHANGER; Harrie. They wouldnāt just ignore it.
It is actually ridiculous
How many burner accounts Mack3030 aka SOLAR has. Iām sure EA will be pretty amused to see their antics and engagement with the piracy community.

I literally give a screen shot/picture of a sims patreon creator ADMITTING how they are going to share peopleās info with their patreon friends and some fake sims laywer is going to ask for proof? Itās right there, how do you miss that big ass screenshot? I know itā one these pro patreon fake accounts cause no real lawyer or law student is wasting their time on tumblr over the sims- of all things and places.
EA told all of you that you CAN put your works on patreon for 2 to 3 weeks and after that if should be free, but once again you ignore the rules for your own benifet but love to bark at others for not following your rules. Piracy isnāt a issue here, cause most of us are paying these people in order to obtain the content, it not just falling out of the sky and onto our PCs out of thin air.
Its a buyer/seller relationship: I give you the money, they give me the content, If i decide I want to share what Iāve already bought, Iām well in my right to do so. You donāt see walmart or game companies coming after people for letting their friends have or borrow a game they already bought..cause it was bought. Not only is this person using the sims to make money, they are using a real make up brand āsephoraā logo for their own profit. But will ignore that type of copyright infringement because sims patreon creators are treated like God here and can get away it.
Most patreon creators wouldnāt have to worry about this if they werenāt doing exclusives, werenāt doxxing, werenāt going MIA, werenāt placing trackers, werenāt making people ask for a link after paying then ignored them for weeks or months, werenāt having a temper tamtrum about their content being shared but having the audacity to take model/meshes from other games/sites and placing them behind a paywall, werenāt deleting links when they dont get their way. The sims 4 patreon community is one of the biggest hyprocrital gaming communities I ever witnessed. A lot of you love to point fingers at people about how theyāre doing you so wrong even though yourāre doing the exact same shit.
Also Iām going to need some proof that yourāre a law student from NY (not really smart to tell me where your from even though im sure its fake) and not some account made 5 mins ago to ironically come after people like me and mack. Surprisingly everything you reblogged thus far comes from my blog or macks blog and definitely not enough law shit. So I know youāre bullshitting already. Tell your friend Hauntedpenguin I said hi, chances are itās probably you or one of your friends anyway cause only Hauntedpenguin would stay hell bent about the gallery shit while ignoring the rest of the Eula as usual. Also real honesty here, these people arenāt your friends. They havenāt acknowlege you one bit..but i love your optimism so you keep trying girlfriend.
oh and one more thing, reblog this anytime someone tries to give you this crap:
āYou donāt see walmart or game companies coming after people for letting their friends have or borrow a game they already bought..cause it was bought.ā
The law regarding PHYSICAL items is different to digital items; https://www.cs.odu.edu/~tkennedy/cs300/development/Public/M09-PiracyAndFileSharing/index.html#:~:text=Internet%20piracy%20is%20the%20illegal,music%20and%20others%20(12). When you let a friend borrow a physical game, thatās it. Only one of you has it, not both of you. Just as downloading music, films, and such; It is mean for one person. Snooping on my profile are we? Why would you ask for my personal information? At no point did Slephora say he was going to share any *PERSONAL INFORMATION*. He could easily and legally just send the pirates PUBLIC profile to fellow creators. That is not ILLEGAL nor DOXXING. Piracy is. People are legally allowed to share public information, thatās the internet. Oh and one more thing,Ā
Show them that there are consequences for their goddamn actions.
šš»šš»šš»

Need a cottage for your vampire sims? I gotchu.
Introducing Bramble Hollow Farm a special farm designed specifically for our fanged sims. Here's a few features: - NO CC! The only packs you need are Cottage Living, Vampires, Laundry Day, and Eco Living! That's it! - 50 x 40 lot, so there's lots of space to spread your bat wings! - A special basement storage area that also doubles as a restful crypt! Perfect for storing your coveted coffin! - Includes a statue garden, a mysterious rickety shack in the middle of a small pond {that you can turn into whatever you like for ~*~story purposes~*~}, and two animal sheds so you don't have to choose between a llama and a cow. :D The lot is up on the gallery under my origin ID: thesunnygopher Eventually I'll do a version with CC in it, but for now, here's the CC-free version! @maxismatchccworld @sssvitlanz
Well done, Solar.
Thank you for sharing your username; thesunnygopher. Iām sure EA will be delighted to know of, and possibly ban your account, given how you have broken their terms/EULA. Organizing anti-patreon piracy groups, harassing and bullying creators? Yes, that does indeed go against their TOS. Your page is practically dedicated bashing them and encouraging hate towards them. Do you have nothing else better to do? All of this in your free time?Ā
You have illegally engaged in/contributed to piracy. āDistributing UCG that you donāt have permission to freely distributeā Content of which you did not acquire through a relevant EA service (The Gallery) patreon, SFS, and so on are NOT part of EA, so content acquired off those sites do not apply. Donāt you think EA would have done something by now, if that was the case?
If you feel so strongly, why not reach out to EA and do things the correct way?Ā Oh, thatās right. You have, and they ignored you. I wonder why that is?

Ahhh yes, this little bean.
This little bean who includes FREE content from OTHER creators in their āearly accessā builds, many of which creators specifically ask for their creations to not be included in downloads. @peacemaker-icā for example - wonderful creations. Does not allow his creations to be included in downloads that are EARLY ACCESS. Does she care, though? No.
