Uh, I know Ash/Sacha is traumatized by the Kalos Crisis, but how bad was his worst mental breakdown from it, loud bawling to hysterical screaming?

Hm to be honest he was mostly on the quiet side for the longest time. For someone who is usually quite vocal and raw about his emotions, he kinda closed in a bit in response to this specific trauma. He closed himself to the Aura for a while, as well.

His first reaction was to run off back to Alola (in my story Alola happens before Kalos) to process most of it and rest, and it took a while until he found peace again. There was a moment there where he had a huge breakdown as everything finally caught up to him. He ran off outside during a storm, and since his emotions were exploding raw, it made the storm worst. Tapu Koko was drawn to Sacha's energy in this moment, which made things even more intense. Professor Kukui managed to found him and brought him back to the house before an accident happened, and Sacha almost passed out.

Currently he still sometimes has nightmares and Goh learnt to be patient with him on the topic. It's not that frequent but it happens, but he'll overcome it in time.
