I’m trying desperately to break out of the Covid Blues and do art again and it’s been difficult. But I am happy to have this more or less finished. I wanted to make a new BG for my phone that has a similar colour theme. I apologize for disappearing off the face of the earth for a lot of people. I promise I haven’t forgotten about anyone. Just dealing with life. I’ll be back when things settle down again.

Starting my New Years Resolution to draw more women off with a bang! Is it cheating that I technically drew her last year? Yes....Yes it is. My other New Years Resolution is to be more rebellious!

I was so unmotivated to art for a long time and I finally managed to sit down and get a picture out !

When feeling blah, do a head shot! Add horns and pointed ears to it. Everything works out in the end.

More BG practice! if you’ve ever seen Cassandra Jean’s amazing art, I tried to emulate the way she does backgrounds. It’s a fun style to try! Also when in doubt for colours, red blue and yellow never let you down hahahahaha

More BG practice. It’s not the fanciest, but it was a good way to spend a Sunday. I hope everyone is healthy and happy! Don’t forget to wash them hands! And remember, these crazy days won’t last forever.

It’s been over ten years since I animated a head turn. It was nice and relaxing.  It’s missing frames and it pops and is unclean...but it was fun hahaha

Sometimes you just gotta let a picture be finished. I’ve been working OT since Christmas, and doodling Ri’Yevan helps me unwind.

Sometimes you have things in your head you just gotta get down on paper. First I did the sketch, then did a more polished version. Felt good to doodle again! 2020 has so far been very hectic, leaving not a lot of time for art!

I expected to get more art done while I recovered from surgery, but this has been all I’ve managed so far.

clearly my favourite things to art are: rocks, snow and this guy hahaha

Another picture in a different colour pallet.  Green was tough. Especially making the blue of that coat feel like it was being affected by green light. Rocks and snow are my only BG skills hahaha

It’s also really fun putting a lot of detail in the BG and less in the character. He seems to stand out better.

Felt like drawing something simple and happy and Yevi here seems to not often get a happy picture lol.

 Thick outlines are fun.

Here’s a fun experimental piece. I wanted to play with colour pallets I don’t normally work in and then also do something moody. The lack of symmetry in the picture adds to the discomfort which is pretty neat. And of course I had to draw mah booooooi Poor guy.

It’s been at least ten minutes since I last drew these two, so I had fix that problem. A nice Sunday wind down doodle of my fave bros.
