Shuri X Eden?

Yes, Anon! I mean, look at them:

I am keeping this comic book spoiler free, but Shurifold is the pairing we deserve.

Also, I hope we get to see Eden on our screens sometime soon. Perhaps in BP2 (or if they bless us with a Shuri series). I do love them. I love them on their own, and together. Let’s hope we see them together on screen in the near future.

Thanks to my friend Charlotte for the translation - Pitjantjatjara isn't a written language so this took a little while to finish.

Was away during International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples and didn't post anything, so here's my belated drawing of Aboriginal superhero Eden Fesi AKA Manifold.

Guess who fell asleep after insisting on a movie night ?

Just Sam, doing house chores before Joaquín and Shangqi come over to watch the newest pro wrestling ppv (Joaquín got the others into it).

Sam puts on an upbeat playlist. He dances while he vacuums, sweeps, and mops. He accidentally mops himself into a corner because he was distracted singing along to the song, so he has to tiptoe carefully back to the carpet in the living room.

Sam puts away the dishes he'd washed last night and does the few dishes he'd used for breakfast today by hand even though he has a dishwasher.

He does laundry while all the other stuff is happening. Once he's done cleaning and the dryer is almost finished, he takes a shower, and he puts on warm clothes out of the dryer because it's a pleasant luxury and he deserves it.

He makes sure the beers are in the fridge chilling. He orders the wings, potato wedges, onion rings, etc. from a local restaurant and picks them up.

He's just gotten home and set the food out on the coffee table when Shangqi and Joaquín get there. They turn on the show and tear into the food, and it's a good show, and they have a lot of fun. They stay long after the show is over, playing cards and talking.

Sam gives the others the leftovers, and they plan a training session for tomorrow afternoon - it's late and no one wants to wake up early tomorrow. He waves as they leave and then he heads to bed, feeling happy and relaxed and good.

It's been a while since Sam has taken a day like today. He really needed it. He falls asleep with a smile on his face.

Sam isn’t Joaquin’s dad. Sam is Joaquin’s friend and mentor. Friend, mentor, partner — none of these things equate to a father. Y’all sound stupid. And, I’ll go a step further: this fandom’s constant need to insist that Sam and Joaquin have a parent/child relationship, or that Sam would be a parental figure to any of the Thunderbolts, a group of adults he has never met (minus Bucky & the racist who tried to kill him) who are actively undermining his role as Captain America, or that Sam is a dad to Peter Parker, or anyone else, is not only absurd but, frankly, suspicious. Your headcanons, fics, tweets, posts, edits, are giving that you think this Black man is only good for taking care of somebody else. Most of the time you don’t even have a kind word for him unless it involves him playing the “dad” to somebody else and cleaning up after them.

Look, Sam is not the designated caretaker for your favorite grown character. He’s not their father, he’s not their mother, he’s not their mammy, babysitter, or therapist either. Sam is Captain America. And while caring for people and making the world a better place is definitely what he’s about, that doesn’t mean he’s anybody’s parent.

And you know what? Not even the point, but Bucky isn’t Joaquin’s dad either. That’s even more ridiculous. We’ve seen nothing in the MCU that even implies that Bucky cares about Joaquin in the slightest. Bucky was rude to him in TFATWS, and although he went to the hospital when Joaquin was injured in BNW, he was there for Sam, not Joaquin, and it was obvious. SMH… Sam isn’t Joaquin’s dad, and Bucky really isn’t Joaquin’s dad. Idgaf how popular this headcanon is, it’s dumb… and it’s always coming from the same crowd, and it couldn’t be more obvious why…

Finished this piece earlier. Yuku, our Paakantyi Ancestor Being, for whom the sun is named after. She danced across the sky when the world was shrouded in darkness. Her fire stick guiding her way, and gifting the world with light and heat.
