My thoughts of the Monstax and Wonho situation
Haven’t updated this account for a while. Life keeps me busy. But I have been reading on the Monstax and Wonho issue, here are my thoughts
This situation of Wonho and his allegations (mind you, I intentionally said allegation because nothing has been proven) is just messy and unneeded. In my opinion, Wonho should have gone on hiatus until investigations are done. If it was proven through concrete evidence and investigation, that Wonho needs to pay that snake, then he will pay. But he was never given the chance to defend himself-everyone should be considered innocent until guilty. Starship was too quick to drop him.
I don’t care about his juvie past, because he served his time and clearly changed to be a better person. He was punished and justice was served for whatever his did. The reason why his records were sealed was because he was minor who made poor choices and those actions shouldn’t affect him in adulthood. We should consider his actions as an adult which he stayed on the good path. He is pro women rights, LBGT rights, and hasn’t done anything that can damage his image now.
The weed allegation is also confusing as Dispatch was able to interview someone in jail, who is serving a drug crime, and believed that this criminal saw and heard Wonho doing weed in Burning Sun years ago. That is shady......
The public simply believes anything they hear and judged based on someone’s word. That won’t even fly in court, you always need concrete evidence. I’m so tired of people being destroyed by rumors and idols getting pushed around or abused. Idols are human beings, not perfect angels or Gods, but humans who make mistakes. Wonho learned from his past mistakes and became the man he is today-that should be idolized and celebrated! Instead, he is being destroyed because he is not that perfect saint but a regular human being
Hopefully, Wonho can move on from this disgusting situation. Whether he goes back to the group or not, he deserves the opportunity to defend himself and not have his imaged tarnished by baseless rumors. Hope people come to their senses and remember idols are human beings first.
