Dr. Google’s waiting room was crowded in 2013. Online search has become an easy way for people to learn more about what’s ailing them, either to self-diagnose or find a remedy.
The most searched-for health topics of the year, and the most common “symptoms” people looked for —
Eat When You're Hungry
Someone asked a Zen Master, “How do you practice Zen?”
The master said, “When you are hungry, eat; when you are tired, sleep.”
"Isn’t that what everyone does anyway?"
The master replied, “No, No. Most people entertains a thousand desires when they eat and scheme over a thousand plans when they sleep.”
One more world AIDS day, still I am terrified as the day on which my mom ,who is a nurse ,told me about this deadly disease.. I was scared, terrified, delusional and became a bit of a germophobe too, luckily I came out of the delusion and the germophobe insaneness within the next couple of days( thanks to my mom) but the fear hasn't decreased even a little bit.
Since I was introduced to the facts about AIDS during my pre teens, I became immune to all the crappy rumors I heard in the subsequent years and the fear created by the understanding of the disease itself is protecting me in doing anything stupid , that I would regret like any other.
There was someone who could guide me in the proper way, who wasn't ashamed of getting her child to face the dirty reality, so I think since all these years of commemorating December1st the only this we could still do is to educate people at young age. So the there could be fear and it will protect them from something they would regret.

If I had a prayer, it would be this: ‘God spare me from the desire for love, approval, and appreciation. Amen.’

You have to give up everything to know that you need nothing, not even your body. Your needs are unreal and your efforts are meaningless. You imagine that your possessions protect you. In reality they make you vulnerable. Realize yourself as away from all that can be pointed at as ‘this’ or ‘that’. You are unreachable by any sensory experience or verbal construction.

It is expressions of affection rather than money and power that attract real friends.

Buddha taught us how all happiness and suffering depend upon the mind. He taught us how to abandon those states of mind that cause suffering and cultivate those states of mind that cause happiness. In other words, he taught us perfect methods for overcoming suffering and attaining happiness. No one else taught us these methods. How kind Buddha is!
