Wer bist du jetzt?
Name:
 * Reason or meaning of name? Sigrun is an old norse name, that means âVictory Secret.âÂ
Nickname:
 * Howâd they get it?: She doesnât really have nicknames anymore, unless Miron referring to her as a flower counts.
Home: She doesnât have a home right now, since her father has thrown her out for Falling. But, Adelger Graf has offered her a room in the Graf mansion for the summer.
*how do they feel about it? Sheâs not sure. Sheâs thrilled that she wonât be homeless, and honored that Adelger offered without her having to ask. However, she still isnât very keen on being around the Grafs the whole summer.
*future home? Probably up north somewhere. Still, somewhere very quiet. But maybe now, a cottage by the sea. Perhaps as a lighthouse witch, using magic to light the way for lost sailors.
Abilities: Her element is water, she understands that now. She canât deny the pull it has on her, but instead of being frightening, it is inviting, calming.
Physical strength: Not particularly. Like in the first prompt, if she gets angry enough she can throw a good punch, but thatâs it.
Magical strength: Spells and Charms, Animalogy, Defensive and Offensive Spells
Other skills: High endurance. Still impulsive, but takes pause before making really big decisions--if she remembers.
Relationships:
Are they a virgin?: Yes
Have they been in love?: No. Given time it could be love, but not now.
Do they want to get married?: Not really.
Are they in love right now?: No. Given time, it could be love though.
Relationships:
Best friends: Irmin von Sachs, Max Grosshertz, Miron Mai
Good friend: Merle Gaunt, Adelger Graf, Hiltwin Schaefer, Adelor Graf (?)
Favourites:
Place
*at Schluchtenburg? The Library, especially the quite corners.
*at home? Sheâll have to explore the Grafs home to find that out. But if the past is any indication, it will be that library. Or perhaps outside in the woods.
*in the whole world? In the woods at Schluchtenburg.Â
Physical characteristics:
Hair cut: Shoulder length, but she likes to have it tied up.
Mannerisms: Smooths back hair, bites bottom lip, wrings hands
Style: Sheâs not a fan of bawdy dresses and the like
Usual Body Posture: Standing up straight, or squished into a corner
Confidence: This year has definitely knocked her down a few notches.
Goals:
Short-term goals for next year: Rise back to Gold. Although she hates her family, she knows that she needs their money.
*How will they achieve them? Study, keep marks, stay out of trouble as much as she can...but she still wants to find out what the fuck happened to Loirot...
Long-term goals in life: To graduate, to move far away.
*How will they achieve them? Keep marks, look into ways to disappear. Possibly find someone to tag along with her who knows more about being alone than she does.
Opinions:
On love? Itâs not as stupid as she once thought. Itâs not for everyone, of course. But it isnât stupid by any means.
On politics? For any change to happen, the people must ban together. Break the law, if necessary.
On Muggles? Theyâre not horrible, and not nearly as backwards as she thought. Sheâs not sure if itâs best for all Muggles to know about witches and wizards, but complete secrecy seems dangerous.
On Squibs? She thinks itâs unfair, that they grow up and get to experience magic but because of some cruel Fate never get to participate themselves.
On differences such as sexuality or race or religions? She thinks that the differences shouldnât matter. If someone is hurting, they must be helped. End of story.
How do they deal with
anger? Yells, becomes essentially irrational. Runs away, and cries.
sadness? Isolates herself from others, and cries. She is working on actually speaking to people who want to help though.
change? Itâs necessary. Even if she doesnât like it, and will actively try to prevent change if she feels it will negatively affect her, in the end, change is necessary.
Over the course of the year, Sigrun has learned several--and I mean SEVERAL-- valuable lessons about not rushing into things, holding her tongue, and being privileged. She has seen nearly all attempts at building relationships with others fall apart because of this. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, as they say.Â
Once Loirot disappeared, however, things changed. Suddenly, Sigrun found the people she cared the most about were in danger. She felt powerless, and scared, and all she could do was look for ways to fight back and help. She began building relationships with others, and trying to repair the relationships that she had broken. This worked in some cases, but in others, it did not.Â
Now she leaves Schluchtenburg, fallen to Silber. She has time to rise back, but sheâs not sure if she wants to aside from getting her place in her family back. For now, she is going to see where life takes her, perhaps look further into her new affinity for water. Many of her friends will return with her next year, and she looks forward to seeing them then.Â
ON a more âmetaâ level, over the past summer I took a class on a long-term projective technique called The Story Within. In drama therapy, we rely on projection onto characters to allow insights into ourselves. Every character we create has aspects of ourselves, and through examining these characters, we can examine ourselves. I will spend time meditating on Sigrun and what aspects of me I have placed in her, as I have done with my last big RP character (JJ, you know what I am talking about).Â
I hope that we get to play with each other again soon. My personal blog is @crystalbarricade, and I am also a part of @stagedoorhighrp, and we are pretty desperately looking for members. But Iâd love to see all of you anywhere!
Love you all,
Angela
