Still the best Hulk.
I love you, Matt. You’re my best friend.
Jenna, I’ve always loved you.
this movie screams comfort 🥺
(via Hala Ali)
Holy crap, wow. It’s so satisfying to know that anyone admitted not knowing a lot of the details and yet they are still able to grasp the fundamentals. And “anyone“ is Mark freakin Ruffalo, collecting information, expressing outrage, desiring to learn about glossed-over tragedy. These kinds of conversations feel so rare in my life.
Check out the Electronic Intifada.
''One of the most banal scenes
is suddenly invested with so much meaning, you know?
All these banalities, they're suddenly turned into these beautiful, effervescent pearls.
From music.''
Begin Again
Look. I have been following the responses under this tweet for a few days now, and may I just say that many of them are so vicious and judgemental. This may not be the kind of statement you expect from someone as prominent as Mark Ruffalo. But, many of the accounts responding to his tweet also don't have all the facts and took on the role of judge and jury without having an accurate picture of the story behind their ire.
As someone who has been following his work and activism for a decade or so, I know exactly that he has been a staunch supporter of Palestinian rights since 2004. He helped the cause a lot and has been raising awareness on and advocating for Israel-Palestine issue more that any celebrities you can think of off the top of your head.
Many accused him of being a sell out, that he is afraid that his career would end or that he might loose his Marvel contract. But let me tell you this: Mark's activism work in environment cause, including the anti-fracking movement; the #standingrock and native American issue in general; human rights issue in the US and around the globe; BLM; LGBTQ+; Islamophobia and anti-Semitism, etc has put him in more life-threatening situations than his activism in Israel-Palestine issue.
If he is afraid for his career, he wouldn't have committed to this cause or his activism work in general in the first place. And I don't say that I agree with him all the time. I also support the #freepalestinian cause, and not just because I happened to identify as Moslem. But I also believe that people fail to understand that Israel-Palestine issue is not exclusively a black and white or a good and evil issue.
There is a lot of gray area in there.
The media circus and propaganda do not help as well. Some are enlightened, but many of us are also struggling to comprehend the issue due to misinformation and whatnot. I believe Mark is not rescinding his support for Palestinian rights with his last tweet. He is being careful with his choice of word, trying not to be bias or incite any more harm to anyone. I'm going to give him the benefit of my doubt and I still believe that his heart is in the right place.
I think if we are a true supporter of Palestinian rights, or any other humanitarian causes, we will also give space for people to shape and reshape their choices and thinking. Educate and advocate, not berate.
I think we should also not put celebrities or anyone, really, on a pedestal. And this comes from someone who adore Mark Ruffalo for years. As a person and for his work and his activism.
Cancelling Mark Ruffalo, or even Rihanna, Gal Gadot etc is not the answer. I personally think that cancelling anyone in general is a completely ridiculous move.
It really breaks my heart to read all the ad hominem arguments & personal attacks being directed at Mark. If you disagree with him, please present your argument with facts and respectful language instead of only calling him a 'pussy', 'coward' or telling him to kill himself.
Words can be medicines, but they can also be poisons. Words can heal, but they can also KILL. Let us not abuse our words. I believe we all know better than this. 🥺

The Road To Avengers Endgame From Disney+
“ It will never be like this again”
This 2 minutes clip is from the special behind the scene video from Disney+. I think this is the best video to share right now as it has the original avengers talking….. and try not to cry at the end
This reminds me of Z saying Tom just really gets excited and wants to share.

Why did they delete these Bruce Banner scenes?!
One where he completely loses control after Wanda gets in his head:
The other where he manages to stay in control after Wanda attacks him:
Such a beautiful compare and contrast! Plus, I love the green eyes.
You can’t just.. turn back time.

“I lost some of my mojo. I don’t know how it happened. I had mojo in college. I had mojo in grad school. I was studying Real Estate Development at NYU, and I remember feeling like there was nothing that I couldn’t do. I felt so powerful. Back then somebody asked me how much money I thought I could make, and I remember saying ’40 million.’ But something’s changed. Life beat me up a little bit. And these days I’m wondering if I have what it takes to put together a single deal. I’m not sure exactly how it happened. But somewhere along the way, all my confidence got replaced by questions. Are you smart enough? Do you have enough resources? Who are you fooling? But I’m going to start changing the narrative. I’m taking this as a sign from the universe that I’ve got to get my mojo back.“
'Baran' is one of the first films which belongs to Iranian New Wave Cinema movement that I watched when I was 14 or 15 years old. It was released in 2001 and directed by one of Iran's auteurs, Majid Majidi. I remember I was absolutely in awe with this seemingly very simple love story between two Afghan refugees in Iran. If you are used to enjoy films that are made in fast pace, full of effects, and with 'happily ever after' endings, you might find this film a bit slow, if not boring. But I, for one, find it meditative and calming. There are no kisses, long hugs, a stroke on the hair, seduction, love scenes, nothing. Intimacy is built through wordless exchanges of expression and soulful glances. It is almost a silent film, but it speaks louder than most of dialogue-packed films out there. #iran #cinema #film #majidmajidi #auteur #art #drama #romance #refugee
One of the nicest things a person ever told me was "A ball of a beautiful eccentricity you are" (wink, wink @_zaidah27 😀). Being called eccentric and unique, in my humble opinion, is one of the highest form of compliment exist out there. It is a recognition to your distinct style and personality, to your boldness in being the truest version of yourself. By the way, this picture of me being absurd was taken by none other than my equally absurd comrade, @mutiratmoko. #eccentric #unique #compliment #confidence
