I fully accept that it’s selfish to want him alive, but I also come to peace with the idea that the longer he would’ve lived the more (painfully!) intense his yearning for martyrdom would’ve been.

I don’t know why I’ve recently been visit the grave of Shaheed Ra’isi more than usual.
It’s strange because I’m visiting his grave more than twice a day — but every time I’m sitting and glaring at his name, it’s as if I’m getting a new message/sign each time
After Haj Qasem, I feel like I never saw things the same. When he left, it’s as if a little bit of my hope left with him because he served as that spark when things started to look dark.
Now after Ayatollah Khamenei, whatever anyone says — nobody will add, replace or replenish what he’s done for us.
در روح و جان من میمانی؛ ای وطن
به زیر پافتد آن دلی؛ که بهر تو نلرزد!
Humming this as I would through the sahn of imam redha ع
There’s a pain so deep about this one because after Haj QS, you could see how lonely Rahbar became. He didn’t cry with all his might for anyone after that.
Broken & bleeding from your martyrdom Sayyid.
My entire world.

“Just as the largest library, badly arranged, is not so useful as a very moderate one that is well arranged, so the greatest amount of knowledge, if not elaborated by our own thoughts, is worth much less than a far smaller volume that has been abundantly and repeatedly thought over.”
— Arthur Schopenhauer, Counsels and Maxims

“To live content with small means. To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion. To be worthy not respectable, and wealthy not rich. To listen to stars and birds and babes and sages with an open heart. To study hard, think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions. Never hurry. In a word, to let the spiritual, the unbidden and the unconscious rise up through the common. This is my symphony.”
— William Henry Channing, My Symphony
