jake's character arc/storyline in both seasons (s1+2) is so fucking funny and horrifying like imagine growing up poor, you have a very loving mother but a deadbeat dad and you hate your teacher, only to get lost on your school excursion getting chased by a category 3 cyclone into a alternate dimension where you were never born and get slammed with the reality that your mum and teacher you hate are MARRIED and that your dad could've been a police officer in this universe- then fast forward being homeless and criminals alongside people you would rather kys then hangout with, have a slowburn pining situationship with an asian nerd, you then get OUT of said universe and then realise your mum and teacher are ACTUALLY kind of a thing now, and that you can CAUSE EARTHQUAKES if you don't get that anger management checked- fast forward you LOSE asian nerd fine shyt bc he loses it over goth baddie dumping his ass and EVAPOURATES INTO THE SKY, you LOSE the police (better) au of your dad bc he got sucked into a portal back to his own au, you LOSE new girl fine shyt bc she's ACTUALLY A GOLEM and reverted back to being clay and then like a year later you're doing the MOST IMPORTANT footy tryouts of your LIFE bc it's one of your ONLY chances in becoming successful from a impoverished background and emo freak rings you up saying he's in a emergency only to realise he just wants to talk about magic... oh white boy,,,,, the horrors you go through white boy...,,,.....
