I've also had this theory forever that we were supposed to get more of the series animated than just the OVA, and that's why we see snippets of later scenes from the manga included as part of this opening.

Which Armitage III release is your favorite? OVA, Poly Matrix, Dual Matrix.

OVA for sure. I'll always have love for Dual Matrix and Poly Matrix (I saw them first, so they've got the nostalgia factor) but I could never shake the feeling that the plot of Poly Matrix just didn't make sense. Then I found the full OVA years later and everything clicked into place. Plus, who doesn't want more of that gorgeous animation? :D

One of my absolute favorite yaoi was this one called Fake by Sanami Matoh and dude, by yaoi standards, it was really goddamn good...And NO ONE talks about it!!! They made a single OVA based on one of the chapters, and that is IT! Even among discussion of classic yaoi online I never see this one brought up....It makes me INSANE!!!
