Back to the desert, for another story though. BTW Mulan is not Han people, but xianbei, a marginal tribe in the north, so her looks was actually a bit different from what we know as ancient Chinese culture nowadays. I would have chosen her accessories and clothes more accurately if SFS wasn’t done.

Also, please don’t go watch the latest movie, it’s all messed up, a distorted combination of all the following dynasties. Moreover it also ruined a simple but deep story about how a brave young girl challenged the system, proving her ability and protected her family&country. What’s even worse is that the leading actress playing Mulan actually supports HK police for their brutal repression during the protests. Talk about irony.😤
