Not Twitter trying to change the feral boys’ name to crewboys when:

A) Indigenous people have come out and said it’s more offensive to imply that indigenous people are “feral” than to just use the word feral. One user likened it to saying the word “drunk” couldn’t be used because it is offensive to indigenous people. It’s performative activism so woke that it’s actively racist.

B) Crewboys sounds bad and doesn’t even make sense. It has no relevance to the group, and both ‘crew’ and ‘boys’ implies group so you’ve basically named them the groupgroup. If you want to rebrand, fair enough, but why not use popoff boys like Karl originally wanted, in reference to when they say “we’re popping off”.

This whole situation just reeks of large accounts speaking on behalf of both indigenous people and the fandom as a whole.
