#Rethink Beauty Standards Challenge
Meet Irys Boswell. She’s a dorky, preppy sim who’s introverted, but loves the outdoors. And she’s here to help you get started on the Rethink Beauty Standards (RBS) Challenge so that more sims who look like her get made.
This challenge is for simmers to give some visibility to those of us out there who are tired of not having our identities represented positively in the media because we deviate from the white, skinny, able-bodied, Euro- and Ameri-centric beauty standards set by society.
Anyone can participate as long as they have a Sims base game. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Don’t complain about having to download extra cc specifically for this challenge. If it’s that inconvenient for you, then don’t do the challenge.
You’re disqualified if you mock or make fun of people (or sims) with these features. The spirit of this challenge is about spreading good vibes and positivity by showing people who aren’t viewed as conventionally attractive that they have nothing to be ashamed of.
You don’t have to finish the challenge in 26 consecutive days. As long as you get there eventually, it still counts as completed.
Don’t cut corners. Always give credit to the people who made the custom content you use.
Day 6: Natural (Black) Hair
Day 9: Golden Cavity Fillings
Day 15: Facial Hair/Peach Fuzz (On Women)
Day 16: Big, Prominent Ears
Day 20: Full Body Tattoos
Day 24: (Religious/Cultural) Head Scarf
Day 25: Randomly Pick 3 traits from the previous days and give them all to one sim
Day 26 - Final Challenge: Research beauty standards and find a (deviating) physical feature that isn’t on this list, then create a sim with that trait
**Disclaimer: You don’t have to limit each of the following physical traits to the day they’re assigned, seeing as that perpetuates the idea that no single person can have more than one of these traits at a time. The idea of this challenge is to push you to strive to make sims with all of these AT LEAST ONCE.
