I'm about to sleep but please please please imagine peppering your f/os' face in soft gentle kisses after a hard day.
Their day has been long and arduous - maybe they were overworked or there was strife with a coworker - so they come home grumpy and tired, all but ignoring you as they step inside and just let their belongings fall to the floor.
Please imagine gently grabbing them by the wrist and maybe they protest at first (something about not being in the mood) but then you wrap your arms around them warmly and start pressing small kisses along their cheek, and then their jaw, and nose, and forehead until they're fighting back a smile. Feeling the tension leave their body as they relax in your embrace, subconsciously leaning into your kisses and maybe even tiredly returning them with their own. Your f/o just loves you so much and finds it so easy to forget their troubles with you (´▽`ʃƪ)♡
Imagine pressing small kisses to your f/o's cheeks, watching their expression soften with love and joy at the sweet, supportive gesture. A grounding breath fills their lungs and slowly leaves their mouth, tranquility and comfort washing over them.
your f/o curling up behind you in bed. you're already on the verge of falling asleep, but you wake up just a bit when you feel the bed shift beneath their weight. they mumble an apology for waking you against your temple before leaving the softest kiss there. they slip under the blanket with you, their legs entwining with yours, and wrap an arm around your middle so they can pull you back against their chest. they're asleep in seconds.

definitely don't imagine your f/o reading aloud to you. don't imagine being tucked into their side, their arm draped around your shoulder, fingers tracing patterns on the crown of your head. also, don't imagine having your head laid on their chest, listening to their heartbeat and the soft thrum of their voice as they read the words from the page. don't imagine how the soft glow of light from the floor lamp that hangs above you casts golden contours over their profile. don't imagine how warm they are or how good they smell. definitely do not do that.
Imagine your f/o gently running their finger along your jaw, cheeks, or chin in a circular motion, soothing you with their soft touch and loving words. "It's gonna be okay. I know it doesn't feel like it right now, but you have me, alright? I'll support you, I'll do whatever it takes. And we'll get through it together, you and me. You'll never be alone again, I promise. Imagine your f/o holding you from behind while you're doing just about anything. Cooking, engaging in a hobby, napping on the couch. They want you to feel their presence, to embrace that sense of safety and security that comes with their arms wrapped around you. For them, it brings them that feeling of love too. Knowing they have the privilege of embracing you, of being so close...

imagine kissing your f/o’s face. you start at the base of their scalp, then take your sweet time trailing down their face, littering it with tender kisses. you get to their cheek and the corner of their lips, but don’t kiss them on the lips just yet. you can’t help but chuckle when you see their pouty expression in the corner of your eyes as you make your way back up their face. they soon turn desperate as you make it all the way back down to their chin and jaw, yet you still won’t give them the satisfaction of kissing you. just as they look like they’re about to give in and do it themselves, you go in for the kiss. their entire face softens and they melt into the kiss, pressing their chest to yours and clinging to you like only someone truly drunk off your love could.
