For the next 24 hours, Anti Sora is flirtatious.
“—Who would love a single one of these imbeciles?”
"Tch-- idiots."
[ ➥ ] Long years had passed since the Reaper had been asked such a question; worded differently perhaps, but with the same underlying challenge. Over confident Contractors — and even humans — would try and get under each other’s skin using such words, and more often than not Hei had been on the other end of such a question.
His answer had always been the same. To fight. And here, inevitably, if things continued down their current path, the result would be the same. Footsteps had paused at the question, hand still tucked away in the pockets of his jacket. He spoke without facing him.
“I don’t owe you any such proof,” he almost snapped. Not due to the stranger’s query, but rather bitter memories were what had arisen the slight element of anger now with him. Though it was unlikely the distinction would be made by the asker.
Grin in place, the being had dared to move closer to the male's figure. The shadowy mist that endlessly trailed him now seeping to pass the others' large frame. This was only amusement to the heartless--a game; not a single ounce of guilt or repent lingering in even the back of his mind as the only thing to pass through his thought process held words that were potentially hurtful to others. Digging through the darkness of another individual's heart; of course, it was common for almost any living being to possess at least a small bit of darkness within them--but finding that darkness was what proved to be troublesome.
"Proof isn't necessary."
Protest became rooted within his tone, a slight hiss creeping within.
"I just want to get to know you."
Disgust coaxed it’s way from betwixt her lips, the surface of her palm descending earthward and abaft her agile physique to reach for her loyal armament, engaging her impassive stare solidly unto the specter as she ventured to speak once more, “You’re not Sora. I’m not sure who you are, but I suggest you take your leave now… for your own sake.”
The laughing was hesitant to cease, golden orbs trailing the movement of her appendage as it seemed ready to reach for battle. His smile faded, laughter still emitting from his throat as a shadowy crown cocked slightly.
"Take my leave? Why...where is the fun in that? I only want to be friends."

"Feisty!"
Sora? The bridge of her nose constricted as the scowl intensified, leveling her stare with the obscurity only steps away from her initial bearings. Sora? Impossible. The Sora she recalled to memory was not a dark entity—something was suspicious here. “You’re not Sora. Who are you?”
A loud chuckle had escaped his throat, demented grin spreading upon his features as the women proved to be wise among amusing. At least this one wasn't as stupid as the rest--at least, the darker half hoped that was the case.
"Who else would I be? Goofy?"
“S-Shut up! He—…Sora forgave me! He told me so! You’re wrong, there’s no way that goofy kid would give into something like you! I made my mistakes, and I deserve whatever is coming my way… but my best friend would never succumb to the likes of this darkness!”
"Wrong...? Wrong? You dare accuse me of being a liar?! He told me so, he succumbed to the darkness--why else would I be standing before you? He scarcely attempts to fight me anymore...but now, he is calling to you. Calling for revenge."
‘Another member of darkness, idiots? Maybe not completely but blinded by some goal of ‘saving the worlds’? Maybe.’
"Idiots...do you wish to be grouped into that clique?"
Azure eyes briefly widened before narrowing to slits with the salted slam. The bait dangled on a thread and Sora, so predictably, rose. With his jaw set, lips pursed and fists coiled, he threw an aggressive slash of his arm. “Were you lookin’ for a fight?” He wasn’t imposing; no, even the challenging glare emphasized vast immaturity, yet the hero of light slid into his hunched horse stance and dared.
Suddenly had a deep chuckle emitted from the shadowy being, a single palm extending whilst a dark mist bled along with the action. Settling and digging each digit into his skull, his grin had faded briefly--silence filling the atmosphere before he allowed that appendage to fall back to his side.
"A fight? You...you who have created me desire to fight?"
Pivoting abruptly to uncover the foreigner behind her, a scowl illustrating her countenance, knitting stilt brows of roseate coloration together. “Who are you?”
Entertaining had this women seemed to prove herself merely from her reaction of the being's presence; perhaps amusement would come from this meeting.
"What a question, Pinky. I'm Sora."
[ ➥ ] Was that supposed to be some sort of an attempt at mocking him, that expression? A poor job of it. The narrowing of his gaze occurred, before the same optics lifted to scan the night sky. Dull. As he cast his eyes back to the form standing before him, another observation was made. This creature — humanoid or no — was no Contractor; and seemed to be only interested in getting under his skin.
What a waste. Turning his back to the darkened being, Hei retained a sidelong glance before facing fully away, intent on leaving the scene if his starting steps were any indication. “If you aren’t a Contractor,” he spoke aloud, “then you aren’t worth my time.”
Contractor? The mere word had sent a surge of puzzlement racing through the being's mind, head cocking as he twisted his frame to unnaturally stand upon all four limbs. Heh--ignorance perhaps. Beaming orbs refused to trail from the male, that slight puzzlement evident upon his features before he had shaken his crown lightly.
"Aren't worth your time?"
That twisted grin had immediately returned etched unto his features.
"--Tch, you aren't worth my time--tell me, are you capable of proving yourself worthy of living?"
“…I never… I never meant to—”
“—Enough! Sora, come on! Snap out of this!”
"Eheheh! You never meant to--perhaps this is your own doing, have you ever considered that? He feels betrayed Riku, he's always felt betrayed. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Steady footwork came to a halt as vortexes swelling with altered stains of cerulean pigmentation surveyed the broad vicinity, ebony lashes short in length gracing the contour of her cheeks as she lidded those luminous irises, breath threaded with mild exhaustion parting her lips. “Quiet night.”
Night fall had sent goosebumps trailing down the being's shadowy skin--pure adrenaline coursing through his veins whilst a smile curved at his lips.
"It was quiet."
“Because you shouldn’t be.” A hand rose to clutch at the heart rattling within its cage—the darkness threading there had taken form without his body. (An accident born of weakness; created in abuse of power.) “I don’t trust you.”
"Well...aren't you a genius!"
A chuckle followed alongside the sarcasm fueling his tone, arrogance leading to the being to completely ignore the brunette's statement and attempt to test his patience.
"--Were you looking for your trophy?"
“—…Who are you? I… I thought it was just a form of his, but you’re—… Something else.”
"No--I'm Sora. Your best friend, ring a bell? Or...have you simply chosen to toss me aside like trash once more."
