how high does the sycamore grow?
I got my Christmas tree today and it made me realize something.
I. Love. Plants.
They’re a little piece of joy and are so lively. They help prevent stuffiness at home and bring so much character and warmth to a setting while making it so much fresher. And as beautiful as they may be, they’re not always perfect. My Christmas tree is about two inches taller than me and started shedding the moment my mother brought it home. It wasn’t a true green the way Christmas trees are advertised to be, it’s a little paler and it looks kind of sick the more I stare at it. The lowest branches have little to no pine needles and some are just barren. Now most people would ask, “Why did you even bother getting this tree if you realized all of these defects?” One is I wasn’t even there to pick it out and two is that it’s not even a defect.
This tree is the most adorable little thing. I have never cared for something this much over the holidays except for food and family, and that says a lot. It excites me and even makes me a little emotional over the fact that I can nourish this little tree. Just like I can nourish a person.
People are just like my little tree. They’re probably not the perfect height and might not look too perfect compared to ideals in society. Some people might even ridicule others because they don’t meet these ideals or standards, just like some people might shame my tree because it’s not tall and full and forest green and super healthy and in mint condition. Just like my tree, people have to be nourished back to health, whether it be mind, body or soul. Because every person is beautiful, they just need to realize it.
So i think I’m sticking to my Christmas tree. I also think I should invest in house plants because they make me really happy.
