Arkon had picked up Riley scent the moment she got close to his cave, but he decided to humor her unique personaility and play surprised. "Truth be told, yes. You managed to sneak in here surprisingly well. You seem to enjoy my company."

Arkon had yet to hear Valeria make such a request, but that was why he showed no hesitation as he carefully pulled her in close. Whatever was bothering her, he would do all he could to ease the burden. He didn't say a word as he held her smaller frame against his own. He just slowly rubbed her back.
