Why was she here of all places? The rain fell down hard upon the young woman, although she was never one for an umbrella. The rain was calming, numbing, it gave her a sense of emotion and feeling through-out her body. The grave before her- Tokiomi. Many would think she was mourning him, some may even assume she was there to damage the grave. Neither of these were true. No. She visited simply to say good-bye, something Tokiomi never had the courage to do.
“So, you died a long time ago? I was never told. Grand-father told me I had no mother or sister and it was best to forget them. In time, I forgot you as well. Then- by sheer chance, Tohsaka went to my high school. I graduated last year, I wonder if you would even care?”
Of course he wouldn’t. Why would he? A noble man, a monarch in personality and a desire for power and a way to reach the true magic within the Grail.
“The Grail is corrupt, what you sought is impossible. Tohsaka will die chasing an impossible dream if she does not stop. I should know, grand-father made me a vessel, a tainted one.”
Why was she speaking to a grave? She had very little to say. No tears came from her eyes, her body remained limp. Void and emotionless eyes remained staring down at the grave.
“What grand-father did to me, could leave you, Aoi and Tohsaka in despair, could easily give individuals such as yourselves a nightmare or two. You traded me to a Devil, and for what? You thought raising Tohsaka and I together would create competition? Yet, separating us would do exactly that if we became enemies in a Grail War. Or perhaps you used that as an excuse? Did you actually want us to be rivals?”
She wondered, but did not care much.
“You would not recognise me now, my aqua eyes are now lavender. My brown hair is now purple. Genetically modified, you have no idea how much I cried, how much I wanted you to come and hold me. You…failed me, you betrayed me…you sold me.”
Turning away from the grave, she walked a few steps. Stopped. And a cold voice left those soft pink lips….
“Kariya is a better man, a stronger man, more selfless than you will ever be. Kariya is my father,you are an insect that belongs ten feet under. And finally…”
She paused, small hands clutched into a fist. Teeth softly biting her lower lip.
“I truly…”
Then…she said it.
She shouted, knowing no one would be near during the night time. Tears finally rolling down her pale cheeks, gulping tightly at her words.
