[text] haha, alright, just drop me a text when you’re close yeah?
[text] pretty sure you’ll like it. i dunno, pretty sure i’m just kinda hoping you will.

What 'Realistic Chat' Actually Means Here
Everyone claims realistic chat. SweetDream is one of the few where it holds up. My companion picks up on tone, stays in character, and weaves our shared history into her replies. It reads like talking to someone who's paying attention.
That's the quality bar that matters. A bot that forgets you isn't a companion. On sweetdream.ai the conversation has continuity and warmth, which is exactly why an AI girlfriend here feels worth your time.
[text] hey, if you're not busy meet me outside lilycove train station? i've got something to show you. want your opinion on it
[text] be there as soon as i can convince taff that she doesn’t actually need to eat this entire tamato berry by herself
[ hi it's 1am and I can't sleep bc I'm too anxious over losing my headphones and having to go to school without any headphones and MUSIC MAJORS CAN'T GO TO SCHOOL WITHOUT HEADPHONES GUYS I AM DISTRESSED ]
...
ok, internet, it’s time for a lesson in basic fucking courtesy.
the people who other people choose to sleep with are, generally speaking, none of your business. it does not matter if you learn about them by scrolling your dashboard, or by having the words flung at you in a fight you didn’t want to have, or by whatever weird omnipotence you little gray blobs seem to have concerning the details of everybody’s daily lives -- if they didn’t ask for your input, you can and rightfully should keep it to yourself.
it follows that you probably should not publicly and repeatedly harass them about it.
especially not if you’re going around and doing it in my name, fuckers.
i appreciate that you feel so weirdly protective of me, or maybe just over your own oddly focused sense of morality, but neither of them have done anything... wrong? like, literally nothing. zero things. none of the things. and obviously i’m not thrilled about how things have panned out over these past months, but if he’s made them happy while i’ve given them nothing but grief -- what right do i have to be disappointed? to have the audacity to judge them for stepping on feelings i never properly expressed until two days ago at best -- who in all hell do you think i am?
everything is really confusing right now and @alphatrainersamael and i are trying to work through it and that’s hard enough without random strangers nosing around for ways to lay blame on someone. i really shouldn’t have to clarify this, but as of right now, we are not in a relationship. i’d like that to be the way this ends up, sure, but this isn’t entirely about what i want, and a confession at ass o’clock in the morning doesn’t fix all of the shit that happened between us overnight, and all of you are defending an honor that doesn’t yet exist for a person who hasn’t done nearly enough to deserve it yet. and trying to paint someone as a homewrecker when all they’ve done is walk across the empty lot where, without their knowledge, somebody’s been dreaming about maybe someday building a house is a really shitty thing to do. give us some time to figure it out, and then we’ll talk.
look: if you’re really so curious about all of this, send your prodding questions here instead. quit assuming how i feel about things. quit assuming i’m not at fault. quit attacking people over shit that isn’t your business.
and, uhh, @deceivingheir?
i’m wesley, and i don’t know if samael has explained any of this to you, but i just wanted to thank you. for what you’ve done for them. i’ve heard good things.

Pyxis: << Anna’s a bright child. In more ways than one. Some days I think she’s more Pokemon than human, what with how quickly she responds to the things that other people might miss entirely.
Did you know that, in human terms, they didn’t even consider her fully grown until last year? That’s ridiculous, I think. There’s more sense in that girl than all of the idiots she surrounds herself with combined. While they’re all busy flailing about, she’s always working to make sure the whole thing doesn’t blow up underneath their feet... I guess that’s why Rossi sent her along this time. To make sure his job is seen to the end.
Sastre’s a hapless mess, sure, nothing at all like his mother -- but I have faith that my girl can get it done. >>

[text] i’d be wondering why someone picked a doughnut store to hit on me. doughnut stores aren’t romantic. except maybe to someone who just really loves doughnuts. perspective and all that shit
the location at which the two of them became canon:
the fucking candy/baked goods aisle of a Mauville supermarket
(he still doesn’t like doughnuts btw. he just really likes samael.) ]

“I love you too.” His heart feels like it’s about to explode as the words leave his mouth, ready to burst out of his chest and leave him full of nothing but this ridiculous ecstatic light that seems to be filling up every spare inch of his body. Wesley presses feather-light kisses to their forehead, their cheeks, the tip of their nose. Freckles, he thinks hazily, but given that they are indeed standing in the middle of a 24-hour supermarket, that may not be the best idea -- for right now, at least. “God, I love you too.”
He could stand here forever, probably, tearstains on his cheeks, bloodstains on his shirt (it’s blue, dark enough that he doesn’t look like a total mess but not enough to let it go totally unnoticed, he feels like maybe he should be a little more concerned but if he knows Sariel and sweets at all then he knows it’s not really worth fussing over). He could stand here forever holding this tiny rogue with their ghosts and their sweets and their ever-present rambling that’s somehow managed to win him over so completely.
He could, but he won’t... at least, not when Snowman’s glancing over her shoulder every five seconds and ‘I’m happy for you’ has turned into ‘are you done’ has long since turned into ‘get a fucking room you guys’.
The kiss that follows that last one is the longest yet.
Wesley breaks away for just long enough to lean down and pick up one of the dropped baskets. “Uh... as romantic as the candy aisle is, this might not be the best place for this...” he starts sheepishly, rubbing at the back of his neck.
Ara and Taffeta giggle in tandem, and Snowman bypasses her standard sign to stick her tongue out at them when they look.
[ x ]
They were crying, there was no hiding it, tears disappearing into the fabric of Wesley’s shirt, leaving dark spots behind. Their chest hurt, their throat, burning, like they’d swallowed without chewing and it was stuck there, lodged in their windpipe, threatening to choke them.
It was words that were trying their hardest to stay stuck, digging in, sharp and painful and impossible to say. Samael forced them out anyway, hands against Wesley’s back and face in his chest and they’d forgotten he was taller than them, that they were small and skinny and so very little compared to them even if the gap wasn’t that big. Wes was… So much bigger than them, brighter and better and -
A sob, worked free, finally, throat clear and the words followed, muffled and accented as they tried to drag their voice back to something he could understand. Too important to be lost in translation now, too long left unsaid.
They lifted their head, Amber glittering with tears and lashes thick and damp and they were smiling, wide and ridiculous and they laughed.
“I’m sorry. I’m… So sorry. I didn’t mean, everything, I…” Another laugh, words trying their best to stay hidden, keep themselves safe. “I missed you. I…” Why was this so hard? To just tell him the truth, make him understand. A shake of their head, a deep breath.
“I love you. I did, before, I never, I didn’t want to… I thought it would, that you didn’t… I love you.”
Wesley’s heart all but stopped at the admission, eyes wide and bright and blue, staring dumbstruck at Samael’s smile in the manner of someone who had just seen sunshine for the first time in their life and didn’t quite believe it real.
To be quite honest, he wasn’t entirely sure that this wasn’t a dream itself.
A soft smile cracked its way across his face, across tear-stained cheeks, incredulous joy palpable in the way his eyes crinkled as he reached over to brush the stray hair (god, he’d missed this permanent state of disaster so much) from their face. His hands were gentle, tentative, a little fearful, a little brave.
He met Snowman’s eyes for a brief second, noting that the aisle had been all but cleared out, and caught the very edges of her smile as she turned away and he found his attention drawn back to the one in his arms. The hand that had brushed their hair back now cupped their face, a whispering touch like gossamer and secrets and faith all wrapped into one.
He let his head fall until their foreheads were pressed together, the position they’d stood in countless times, and breathed in. Maybe it wasn’t the perfect place, or the perfect time, or even the perfect way of bringing it up but--
“You don’t know how long I’ve been dreaming of hearing that.”
(Wesley Sastre has his first kiss at two o’clock in the morning in the confectionary aisle of the Mauville General Market, and it is fucking glorious.)
A voice. Familiar. Achingly so. The one they’d heard through the night, too wired to sleep, heads pressed close as they talked of nothing and everything. The voice they’d heard in the ruins of their church, cast low as to not disturb the gods that they’d all but forgotten.
The little bubble they’d been in popped, shattered like glass hitting the floor. Their head snapped up, quick enough they were sure they’d just pulled something. Eyes impossibly wide, glowing gold in the strange overhead lighting of the supermarket.
“Wes…”
A step back, as if they were going to bolt, the basket over their arm hitting the floor. Sariel shrieked at the noise, darting back up onto his trainer’s shoulder, claws digging into skin as they moved.
Lunged really, it was a much more fitting word.
A skinny body moved impossibly fast, but Samael had always prided themselves on their speed. One, two, three, enough steps to drive them forward, drive them into Wes, nearly knocking them both to the floor as they barrelled into his chest. Arms around his torso, eyes hot and throat burning, heart beating so quick they were sure it was going to explode.
A hug, in the end, fingers in his tee shirt, face against his chest, words that weren’t coming out but that was just fucking fine, they’d get their point across like this.
He was here. He was fine and in front of them and alive and…
“Fuck.”
That… Wasn’t the first thing they’d wanted to say to him. Watery laughter into his chest and they weren’t looking up, not yet, let them learn how to breathe again first, how to make their heart stop trying to escape through their throat, rib cage, wherever it thought the easiest exit was.
“Missed you. Missed you. Missed you.” The words trailed off into Russian, but they were the same, ragged and painful and wet and full of joy and something else they didn’t want to name just yet.
He’d known his mistake the minute he set foot in the aisle, known it the second Taffeta had let out a chime as if she’d seen someone she recognized, known it the moment blue eyes met amber and the entire world was suddenly tipping precariously from a single point spiderwebbed with cracks--
--that little step back that they took hurt and he was back in Castelia again, a broken wreck on Deuce’s living room floor, shards of his phone screen scattered across Nick’s countless cardboard boxes, trying to remember the words for please don’t leave me and coming up with nothing but his lungs being sucked into his chest and he didn’t notice when the basket hit the ground but then there was an impact and the aching familiarity of bony arms around his ribcage and he was back in a fucking supermarket in Mauville and he was--
--shattered, that was a word, his heart pulling double time in his chest, eyes hot and vision blurred, laughing at the short and unintended greeting, breath running short and watery, clinging to the slim figure wrapped around him as if they were the only thing keeping him alive, a hand cradling a two-toned head with all the softness in the world, crafted composure of the past few months shattered and replaced with something incredibly, unbelievably whole.
“Missed you too,” he tried to say, but instead it came out as “I’m sorry,” strangled and shaking. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Je suis dèsolé, pardonne-moi, je t'en prie, je t’aime--”
The words, anticipated and unexpected as ever, shocked him into silence, and he hugged Samael tighter as if maybe that could make up for it.
Snowman stood knowingly, quietly, at the end of the aisle, glaring at anyone who tried to have a look at what was going on.

They were cute -- really cute -- both of them, Trainer and Pokemon, their complete attention on each other. It might’ve almost warmed her heart, if not for the cold anticipation sitting something like dread in her stomach.
She’d wondered what could possibly convince her passive, hopeless best friend to think there was something outside of the complex that was worth sticking around for.
She guessed, picking up the telltale chime from around the corner of the aisle, that this had been exactly it.
Detonation in five, four, three...
“Snowman? Where’d you -- hey, listen, they’ve got these amaretto roll cakes back there, do you think they’d keep if we shipped some to--”
...twoonezero.

Green eyes, intense and thoughtful, flickered across the scars over Samael’s shoulders when they shrugged, returning to their hands with the kind of half-baked genuine interest that one only learns to fake from years of subterfuge and three brother figures with a tendency to talk indefinitely about the things they were passionate about.
Speaking of things they were passionate about: the Sableye, the signing, the sugar, the rambling, the hair, the fucking lemon tea... if she was right, maybe she should’ve listened to Wesley when he’d told her to steer clear of the city.
She hoped he was still busy looking at strawberry cake.
‘Not witch piss hot, huh? Good to know,’ Snowman laughed, tilting her head slightly, curls on one side bouncing in stark contrast to the soft shaved fuzz on the other. ‘It’s not our first time here, though. Work tends to take me everywhere, and he came to Mauville last year. We’re from Castelia, so the temperature’s not as much of a shock -- huge desert right outside the city, you know -- but it does still take a bit of getting used to.’
A cold and familiar presence rose up behind her shoulder and she turned to find her Froslass hovering right by her shoulder blade, blinking at the stranger.
‘Ara? Where’s Sailboat?’ she asked, turning to the side some so Samael couldn’t see exactly what she was saying. The Pokemon gestured to the aisle right behind her.
Not good. Not good not good not good.

Oh! Someone who actually knew sign language? For once, it seemed, fortune had actually fallen in her favor. Snowman tucked the notepad away with a grateful little nod of her head, giggling soundlessly at the little Sableye, the stranger’s composure over their bleeding hand prompting a faint, warm glimmer of respect.
‘I mean, I’d get pretty upset if someone snatched away something I wanted from right in front of me, too,’ she offered with a tiny shrug and a tinier smile. ‘Though, to be honest, if it’s sugar you’re looking for, I’m not sure you’ve got the right stuff. We’ve got this brand back in Unova, too, it’s basically straight lemon curd...’ Snowman made a face, shaking white curls out of her eyes.
The corners of her lips quirked in a slight smile as she looked at Sariel, trying to pin down the odd familiarity that came with this two-toned stranger and their sugary friend. ‘My roommate and I, we just rolled into Mauville this morning. He’s not a fan of dessert, but fuck if you try to get between him and anything lemon-lime.’
