i also feel like there might be some angsty jannik background story like there was an ask suggesting a tragically ended tennis career which is rich or something like that because even though it’s an au and blah blah blah i think this insane vain competitiveness and the need to excel is an integral part of jannik’s personality pretty much in every universe and therefore for him to end up as a model which is not a really competitive industry in traditional way (but pretty much so in an unhealthy and deranged way which is also a high angst potential point) he had to go through some shit and break a little, lose ground and indulge in self destruction (write the sex with unavailable men who treat him like shit in that category too). and here comes carlos who kinda brings him back to life in more ways than one while also dealing with something existential of sorts because otherwise it is a damsel in distress/high horse prince charming story (which is also cool but in a different way) 🫶🫶🫶🫶💙💙💙💙

i think it’s not too hard to imagine jannik in the modeling industry bc his of his personality. like the control issues the need to micromanage the ‘i can only control myself not my surroundings’ sort of mentality would lend itself very well to the toxicity of a career like modeling. maybe missing that adrenaline maybe looking for something he hasn’t found yet (also kinda the jannik of now) which is why he self-destructs fully aware. only allows himself specific forms of destruction though. ie fucked up sex with unavailable guys that treat him badly and leave him feeling empty. he just wants to feel something.

and yes totally maybe a fledgling career in sport again in my mind not so much an injury that would prevent him from progressing but maybe a money thing !!! his parents just cant afford his career anymore he has to quit young. gets scouted for modeling at 15/16 by some big-time guy up in the alps for a skiing holiday. he does it because, well, why not? could do with the money anyways, no? and it turns out hes actually good he takes off makes enough to support himself and his family a thousand times over but theres this emptiness and bitterness to it hes not satisfied with his life where he is hes restless hes not happy just not in a good place.

and like u said he gets into these phases every few months usually when he’s bored. or frustrated. or too much energy nowhere to expel it. first few times carlos tries EVERYTHING it’s just jannik rolling around the bed sighing heavier each time and carlos is like ‘do you… want to go out for dinner.’ ‘no carlos.’ ‘um… movie?’ ‘no.’ ‘u wanna go hit some balls?’ and he turns to glare at him and roll his eyes so deeply unimpressed carlos takes a step back hes like yeah. no. never mind. this is not gonna work.

tries to distract him by fucking him through it. this also. fails. works for the first ten minutes or so jannik distracted and fucking back onto his fingers and moaning for him but carlos starts fucking him properly and after a while. hes clearly restless like turning his head this way and that fidgeting twisting his body. and carlos stops and hes panting and still rock hard and he has absolutely no idea what to do. jannik looks up at him all bitchy and frustrated and hes like. ‘what u cant even fuck me properly anymore?’ turns his face half into the pillow and mumbles out ‘maybe i should find someone who actually wants to fuck me.’ picking fights for no reason. last straw for carlos.

hand on his throat he pulls out almost entirely and slams back into him. jannik shrieks eyes going wide clutching his shoulders and it’s over for jannik from there. carlos fucks him stupiddddd like so much rougher than he usually is makes him come like four times overstimulates him till he can’t talk and his head is spinning mouth ajar tears on his cheeks just staring up at him dazed.

whimpers and curls into carlos when it’s over carlos running a gentle hand through his hair still trying to catch his breath maybe a little worried because it really was rough. way more than he usually is with jannik. until jannik comes out of his daze and at first he can’t meet carlos’s eye properly all blushy and his attitude problem is fixed. hes settled again comes to curl up next to carlos on the couch all relaxed agrees to going out or whatever doesnt storm about for no reasons wreaking havoc like he had the past week. carlos is in shock and very much amazed and he also kinda wants to laugh. like he definitely knows what to do for next time now.
