As a side note, we picked approximately 70 lbs of apples that day. I had apples for months. I learned more recipes that include apples than I ever thought possible. Apples roasted with chicken? Sure. Apple and butternut squash soup? Great. Apple-stuffed pork loin? Yuh, huh. I wonder if you can make an apple-based dessert...
