Quail egg shells are not like chicken egg shells. They're really thin, they crack easily but ☝️

they don't crack into the innards when you crack the shell. Because unlike chicken eggs, they have a thick, strong membrane that is difficult to tear and people usually use specialized scissors to cut into it to open the eggs.

In fact it's SO strong that if someone were to say, put a quail egg into their pocket and, like an incompetent fool, forget it existed entirely, and if said person also put that article of clothing into the washing machine, the egg would survive the process and come out intact but missing the fragile shell.
