Somewhat surprisingly both human and giraffe’s necks have seven vertebrae, even though giraffe’s neck can be as long as 1.8 meters! Giraffe supports its neck by having an exceptionally strong Nuchal ligament to which muscles, which control the movement of the neck, are attached.
