Developing a strategy when landing tricks is a BIG part of the success professional skateboarders have with skateboarding. In order to successfully land tricks.
A list of goals A clear picture A purpose Each step plays an important role in your overall strategy. Your chances of success will be much smaller if even one of these steps is lacking.
Skateboarding doesnât always have to be a struggle. Learning new tricks and landing old tricks consistently can be easy actually, but only if you follow this 3 step formula. Apply this advice to your skateboarding for the next 90 days straight and you are guaranteed to start seeing better results. Using this formula you can land more new tricks, more consistently, and with better style. You will be able to put together multi-trick runs, win games of s-k-a-t-e , place well in competition, get mad respect from your friends, and have more fun than ever.
Have an organized goal list Visualize your tricks happening Practice with purpose Know what you want, which tricks you need to work on. Then set those as goals and create a plan to accomplish those goals. See your tricks happening in your mind as if you were actually doing them. See it all as vividly as you can, because your mind canât tell the difference between what it vividly imagines and what it actually sees. With this technique you can convince your mind that you can already do the trick. This will increase your confidence and help you land your trick.
Practice your tricks, but make sure youâre having fun. If youâre not having fun, then you shouldnât be skateboarding. To keep yourself from getting frustrated, sprinkle the trick youâre working on in-between your other, easier tricks. Skateboarding shouldnât ever feel like a chore. Itâs supposed to be fun â thatâs how you get better and land more tricks consistently with style.

Paul Hakel Discusses Why Skateboarding is a Great Sport for Children.
Paul Hakel Discusses Why Skateboarding is a Great Sport for Children, he lives in Erie Pa and has been actively skateboarding for 13 years. If youâre a young person, why might you enjoy skateboarding? And, if youâre a parent, what positives are there if your child wants to be a skateboarder? I started skateboarding for many reasons. One was that I wanted to fly like a bird! The feeling of motion, of either being in the air or rolling down a hill is a great one. I also hated the cut-throat competition of tennis, which I had been playing. After all, who wants to beat their friends all the time? I was never a child that was very big on competitive sports. I had won both singles and doubles tennis tournaments in my Catholic diocesan tournament, but I didnât feel happy about it. Tennis was boring and limited to the rules already agreed upon and dependent on the decisions of officials/umpires. Skateboarding appeared more objective to me â you would either land the trick or not, there was no way you could âloseâ a game just because of a bad judge. It was also rewarding in itself and not just when you âwinâ. Everybody could âwinâ, by being able to do some kind of interesting trick, at their level of ability. I also liked that skateboarding, while being physically active and a bit âdangerousâ, was not a contact sport â so I was in control of the risks that I was taking. In a contact sport like football, someone could slam into me and give me a concussion. As a skateboarder who voluntarily wears padding, Iâve never had a major injury in 13 years of skating â and Iâve achieved a decent level of talent. Another thing I liked about skateboarding was that it allowed me to explore uncharted domain and to use my creativity to pursue goals myself and achieve them. This was kind of a free market entrepreneurial impulse; the only rules that existed were the laws of physics and movement. In recent years, I have learned to think of skateboarding as a form of gymnastics, and I also recalled enjoying the feeling of âflyingâ on a trampoline, and doing flips on there.
These are only a few of the reasons I skateboard and you should consider riding yourself or for your children! For more Tips and Advice go to http://www.skateconnection.com.au
