He looks at her.  Sure they had a rough childhood (which James takes full credit for because he always goes ham on everyone, including Daisy and Albus) but now it got better and he’s glad it did get better.  He would have been seriously guilty for ruining her life like that.  

He gulps at her.  “Well then lock me up in bubblewrap and put me in a room because I make no promises on that front.”  James joked a bit.  Though since he met his grandfather here yea he probably did ruin the future.  Unless he forgets ?  He doesn’t know it hurts his head too much.

“I’m calm !  I am totally calm and not nervous and stuff…”  He just is worried about everyone.  

She snorted at his response, rolling her eyes again. “Yeah, seems like it.” Still, as much as she was enjoying knocking him around, it was kind of sad watching him squirm so much. In the end, she sighed deeply. “Alright, what’s going on? You tell your favorite cousin Daisy what’s freaking you out so bad.”

James laughs, grabbing his wand and waving it, fixing the display.  “Will you calm down mate ?  It’s not real.  It was just my latest pranking creation.”  

Mei watched in amazement as items lifted from the floor and rearranged themselves back together. “Magic...!” He gasped softly to himself. Just like Loki had shown him.

He waited a moment, peeking out cautiously and looking up towards the ceiling. They were definitely indoors, but still, that didn’t mean much in this world. “So it wasn’t...real...?” He swallowed hard. “Is it going to happen again?”

Unusual people in a dark forest. What could possibly go wrong? R was just wandering around as he usually did when he noticed someone walking around. An alive person? At night? In the woods? He would blink in confusion if he could but instead all he did was eerily stare.

James looked at the woman as he nodded. “ Pure I am, but that doesn’t mean much. Whether it was home or at Hogwarts I was there. So You can say I’m a bit shelterd.”

“Oof, you can say that again. Well, welcome to Cedar Grove, Maine, USA. The good news is, you can basically do magic wherever and whenever you want, because wizarding government doesn’t exist here. The bad news is, you’re trapped here and there’s no way of leaving--not even apparating. Trust me, I tried. Bloody hurt like hell too...” She grimaced just thinking about it.

“Sometimes people’s families show up here, sometimes they don’t, and sometimes they all are pulled from different timelines than yours. Kinda sucks, but it is what it is. Those are the basics people usually first ask about--any other questions?”

I”m not like that silly doctor from back home.” Death muses as her scythe appears. “This ring any bells sugar?” Her red dressed turned black as an errie greyish color came to her skin. “I’m Death herself sweetie. I”m not in the mood for the black magic of those witch doctors down south.”

Tiana’s blood ran cold, freezing her to her spot. The fear in her face was obvious and for a moment, she could only stare in shock. Finally, her lips quivered before she spoke. “I-- am I dying? Are you here to take me?”

“I’m fine. Thank you very much.” She could feel Shulkie wanting to come out and play and she slowly turned to pick up what had been dropped. 

Dave winced a little bit. Alright, maybe that was more rude than he thought. Maybe he should try and make it up to her. “Here, let me help,” he said, crouching down next to her to help her gather her things--despite the fact that she’d said she was fine.

“Yeah...I suppose that’s true.” He sighs and lets the silence fall for a moment. It is broken however, when his stomach churns and whines almost comically loudly. “Ah...I suppose I’m hungry. Let me just grab something really quick...”

He broke from the sidewalk they were walking on, casually meandering into someone’s lawn. There, he dropped to his hands and knees to pull a chunk of grass out of the ground with his teeth. As humans are known to do.

“Well that would be nice…thank you.”  Why is this…thing so pure.  It’s disgusting.  “I will show you magic yes.”  Loki said, holding his hand out as a small green circle of fire forms in the palm of his hand.  

“Just tell me what I need to do!” At the appearance of flames he jumped backwards, eyes widening. “Ehhh?! That’s incredible! How did you do that?” He approached again, reaching out in an attempt to touch the flames.

“Global…warm…ing ?”  Toothless asks.  “Sounds…bad.”  Toothless says; it makes him really wants to go back to his world.  Wants to see his rider Hiccup and everyone.  “Was…called Toothless always…don’t know…any other name.”  He admits.  

“Yeah, super bad. Basically we were messing up the world super bad with fossil fuels, to the point where the world almost became unlivable. Looks like there’s a lotta the same stuff like cars,” she gestured out to the road. “But maybe since it’s one small town, we’ll be okay?” Hollyhock gave a big ol’ shrug and a tight lipped smile. “Who knows!”

“Oooh I gotcha. Well I’ll keep calling you Toothless if that’s what you like.”

“none of this is actually normal to me. i was going to college at nyada before i was brought here. magic was always something of books and entertainment.”

College--yeah, things really were different here. There definitely seemed to be more rights for women and minorities. Tiana had never even considered the possibility of going to college...maybe if it helped her get a restaurant, she’d think about it.

“Yeah...every time I feel like I’m starting to understand something, it throws me in a totally different direction, you know? Oh, I’m Tiana, by the way. Glad to meet another relatively normal person around here.”

Blaine nodded at Dave. “Damn, man. You got all that established? I’m proud of you. I’m sitting him complaining about not having a song like I’m in high school again.” He chuckled, smiling at Dace when he mentioned that he didn’t have a setlist. “I know right? I’m slipping. I just got, actually. It’s confusing as hell and I’m not entirely sure how to feel about this situation honestly.” Blaine commented.

He couldn’t help but laugh a little at that too. “Yeah, well, I’ve been here a few months already. Don’t really have much of a choice but to set up a life for yourself, unless you’re just gonna sit around and do nothing.”

He sighed. “Yeah...I don’t fully understand what’s going on myself, but I’ve just had to accept it. Doesn’t look like there’s a way for anyone to leave anytime soon, so. I guess I’m just trying to keep things as normal as possible in this really...abnormal situation.”

“Still, if you need any help getting settled, I can show you the ropes. Housing is free, it’s just about finding places that still have space. More and more people are coming in every day. As for jobs...well...I’m pretty sure they have community theater and performances here? I think the school is looking for a music teacher as well.”

“i agree on that. but at the same time, when you are all alone, it makes giving up so much easier. no one is around you pushing you to fight for anything. you can just give up since you feel like no one cares.” she said.

“i’m not really the kind of person people want to be around. my father and brother told me how worthless i was throughout my whole life. and while i tried time and time again to tell myself that they were wrong, i know that they are right.” she told them.

Clem frowned a little at that. “You can, but you shouldn’t. You need to fight for yourself. For the possibility of a better future where you won’t be alone. If you give up, how are you ever going to see it?”

The more this woman talked, the more they scowled. “Fuck that! What the hell do they know? They try to make you feel worthless so they can feel more worthy themselves. And where the hell are they now? Not here. But you are and you have a life to live--it’s yours and its worth as much as you make it worth. You let them make you feel like nothing, like you were alone, and eventually you died fulfilling their prophecy. You have a chance to leave all that behind, to start over and to live the life you deserved in the first place. So what are you going to do with it?”

“A coven...?” Dave muttered to himself. That was a witch thing, wasn’t it? He was pretty sure that was a witch thing. What had he gotten himself into? “Right well...I guess you can talk to me!” He laughed nervously.

bubbles always enjoyed a nice swim. and ever since arriving to this town she hadn’t had much fun she has done. but she knew that she should have as much fun as she can while she was here. they didn’t seem to be any villains that bubbles had to worry about stopping. so for the first time in a long time she could just have as much fun as she could. 

“the water feels so great.” she said.

Clem breached the water, gasping a deep breath of fresh air. The breeze passed over them again, sending a chill against their wet skin and hair. “Ha--oh man--” They let out a breathy, almost disbelieving laugh as they tread the waters. “Yeah...it does!” They agreed, though they seemed surprised.

“We...we’re sure there’s nothing dangerous in these waters though, right?”

“i do want to be better. it’s part of the reason i went back in time. everything i learned about being a speedster i learned from a museum. i wanted to go learn it from my dad who was one of the greatest speedsters.” she explained to isabelle.

“wait? so you were an animal before you were brought here?” nora asked her a little bit confused with what she said. she had never heard of an animal turning into a human. “but yeah, my dad and i are from different times like he doesn’t remember meeting me, while i’ve been with him for a few weeks. and my mom, she knows who i am. it’s very strange and confusing.”

“i feel like i saw a deer yesterday when i was out for a run yesterday. and it showed no signs of being a human or brought to this place.” she said.

“Oooh interesting! Well I’m sure with that kind of dedication, you’ll become one of the best speedsters out there!” She exclaimed, giving a wide, encouraging smile.

“Aha...yeah...” She once again ran a hand through her hair sheepishly. “Animals weren’t exactly the same in my world as they were yours though. Honestly, we were much more similar to the humans that exist here more than the animals. We walked on two legs, lived in houses, spoke the same language as humans--really, humans were just another type of animal species in our world!”

“That being said, I’m not the only animal whose been brought here. Lots of us have, though some were more animal-like than myself. It’s all rather confusing, so that’s why I’m trying to figure out as much as I can. It’s difficult to ask the animal-animals here where they came from, since they don’t speak our language. Still, I think it’s worth investigating!”
