genuinely out of all the fandoms why is haikyuu so allergic to happiness

we're talking about an anime that's happy-go-lucky most of the time, and people are out here talking about the most DEPRESSING things

like that one bokuaka fic that has everyone in shambles

this fandom has a your lie in april kind of depression

imagine introducing your friend to haikyuu through the depressing edits about iwaoi and whatever other edits there are, only for them to find out haikyuu is actually a very wholesome slice-of-life anime

yk if it weren't for takeda karasuno genuinely wouldn't have succeeded

it's because of him that karasuno managed to regain its wings, and although they lost against kamomedai he left them feeling motivated and inspired all because he saw something that others weren't willing to

and i like to headcanon whenever the ones who went pro gets interviewed they always mention takeda offhandedly like "oh yeah i had a teacher who used up his life savings to fund our club" and whatever else he did good

he's literally the pillar of karasuno man and he's still so underrated

just a small rant about me missing wattpad😋😋

i sometimees open wattpad to simply reminisce the times when it used to be so active and was mainly used as a means of communication

i genuinely miss how lively things used to be despite the.. questionable fanfics that has been written

i remember back then i used to think their writing was really good—shakespeare kind of good—and looking back it seemed so ridiculously immature but it held a lot of personality that it made it unique

when i read fanfics in wattpad i always try to look for comments, but it's either so dry or there are so very few that it disappoints me to a certain degree

back then so many people would reply to every comment and it was usually with a meme and i could VIVIDLY remember reading a bakugo fanfic and literally the first words of the fanfic were just “5...6...7...8...” and then someone kept counting and people just kept replying and the numbers increased to over a hundred and o was part of that chain

i dont miss how questionable most fanfics were, i just miss the memories that come along with it
