2025 was a good year for me.
I realized that just because I like something and find it easy, it doesnât mean I want to do it for money for others (like video editing, creating social media content).
I discovered that coloring books are a wonderful way to try out techniques and tools Iâm afraid to use on my own drawings, so I donât ruin them.
I finished the anatomy course I had been putting off for a year.
All year long, I wrote my book every day, even when it was hard.
We completed the first strip of our webcomic.
For two weeks now, Iâve had my own studio (Iâm in the process of moving things in).
Most of the year, I organized family relaxation days on Wednesdays to take care of my loved ones.
There wasnât a week when I didnât read a book.
I drew so much and stuck to the weekend challenges I set for myself.
We finished an RPG session, which was awesome.
I changed my sleep pattern to one that gives me energy.
I survived December (which turned out to be very traumatic) by letting go and allowing myself to be weak. I regret nothing.
For 2026, I donât have specific goals I must achieve at all costs. I have plans for actions I want to continue, plus a bingo that I donât have to complete but would be nice to do.
Continue writing my book daily
Take on creative weekly challenges, e.g., draw with charcoal for a week; use a journal for a week; edit videos for a week
Keep monitoring my state in a journal and maintain a creativity journal
Read as much as I do now, maybe even more!
Coloring books. This brought a lot of relaxation during tough times and many ideas for combining techniques that I transfer to my drawings. It gave me so much joy that I even created a challenge for 2026 to make it even more fun!
Use my studio. A lot. This is already happening, even if itâs not ready yet, so I have a lot of hope.
Share more things online. Now, in the age of AI, the greatest value is the process itself. A finished work isn't enough. To create, you also have to be present and build connections. Unfortunately.
My little optional bingo. No pressure:
1 â one themed feast for my friends (game, movie, fruit? IDK yet)
2 â two coloring books fully colored (I can do it)
3 â making three cakes, including one with candies inside (completly new for me)
4 â four new projects created in the studio (Iâll finish these quickly, but thatâs good. Easy points)
5 â five large videos edited. They donât have to be published. What matters is that they exist.
5 - writing five poem
4 â four video games completed
3 â three board game days
2 â two new webcomic chapters
1 â one board/card game fully designed
I'll draw these bingo and hang them on the wall to remind me. My brain likes games. It'll love this.
