I had such a hard time getting gifs from this episode! I wanted the Red and Ress drinking at the bar, but they were hidden too much and the camera angles were not good! 

So I went with Keenler, because hey, I like them in this one :-) (And did they or didn’t they share a room….?)

(Can I just say AGAIN how much I dislike Andrew McCarthy’s directing style?! His habit of hiding his actors behind EVERYTHING drives me insane watching, and even more trying to make gifs from it!! Okay, rant over.)

Liz hated the blacklist. Sure, she worked it because she knew the good they were doing, but she hated working it. This was something she said to Ressler even in the very beginning of the series. I hate this job. She didn’t want to run Red’s criminal empire. She wanted to be a federal agent. She was only willing to take over his empire because she was a fugitive in S8. She preferred having a badge, and she certainly preferred being a profiler. 

Aside from Red, Ressler knew Liz better than anyone because she shared most of herself with him. Red has been and always will be a Keenler shipper, and for good reason. A mother wants her daughter to be in a healthy relationship. One without all the secrets and lies that come with being a criminal. When Red told Liz she deserves the best in life… he was talking about a man like Ressler. 

Because she followed in her husband's footsteps, her path was inevitable. As far as I’m concerned, Tom ruined her. He turned Liz into something she wasn’t, and Ressler being the man he is… reminded her of who she was. She wasn’t a criminal, but an agent.
