@mayapeach:
Sweets, you couldn’t replace me if you tried.
I know I couldn’t, because if I tried you’d just use ring power, and then I have to do what you say.
@technofarkle:
Those feelings are important, yes. Talking about them, though? Not so much. I don’t think words can accurately convey feelings, anyway, so what’s the point? Like if I wanted to talk about how sorry I was? And how terribly I felt and how much I wish I could make it up to you? How could words ever get that across?
Talking about them keeps you from exploding like a volcano, Farkle! And maybe in this case if you’d talked to someone, like, oh, say, Maya, she could have told you that how sorry you are would have been conveyed really well in the form of ice creams, purple cats, and an ‘I’m sorry’ card with bunnies on it.

Maya: You could always go into teaching?
Riley: It's not the same, Maya. I can't fly by my mom's side and do that thing where her hair blows in the wind and makes her look like a supermodel, and I can't pick up Uncle Shawn's car with my bare hands every time he tries to leave because I don't want him to go. All teacher Riley can do is give kids homework and hope they end up being as cool as my parents are someday, since I couldn't be :(

Lucas: Of course we don't have to talk about it. Do you think he'll still sit with y'all at lunch today?
Riley: I guess we'll find out. See you then still?
text ✉ rucas
Lucas: That doesn't sound good. WHat happened?
Riley: Is it okay if we don't talk about it? I don't want him to notice me being sad on the bus in case he's not sad too.
text ✉ rucas
Lucas: I'm looking forward to seeing it :)
Lucas: I'm sure your friend Farkle'll tell you all about her.
Riley: Oh, we're... um, kind of not talking to each other right now. But I'm sure it'll be fine soon!
text ✉ rucas
Lucas: I'm sorry, Riley. But it seems to me like you did a great job meeting them!
Lucas: Not in hero class. Well... except maybe this girl Smackle.
Riley: I guess I've got the next four years to prove it, but I really hope you're right :)
Riley: Uh oh, she sounds like trouble!

Lucas: Do you really think your parents did that with you? They seem really cool in all their TV interviews.
Lucas: Are there robot people at Sky High? We didn't have those back in Texas...
Riley: I don't think they did it on purpose, but they definitely had super high expectations.
Riley: Not that I've met yet, but I wouldn't rule it out yet! Is there anybody who seems suspicious?
text ✉ rucas
Lucas: That must be awesome, Riley! I hope your powers get better soon. I wish my parents had fire powers so I could learn from them, it sounds really nice.
Lucas: Yeah, I've met the little guy. He's really smart, isn't he?
Riley: Oh, no, I'm sure you're better off learning from school! It's super hard to have your parents expecting you to have all the same milestones as them at the same time as they did.
Riley: The smartest person I know! He's a total genius, Maya even thinks he's a robot but I'm sure he's a real boy :-p
text ✉ rucas
Lucas: Oh, really? That sucks, I've never heard of that before. What are your powers normally like?
Lucas: You'd like that, huh? :) Then we'll definitely be there.
Riley: I have... powers. Awesome ones. Just like my parents. Awesome parent-like powers.
Riley: YAY!
Riley: Have you met our friend Farkle yet? He's in hero class too!
Do you need a new Maya? <3
There could never be another Maya! The one I’ve got is already perfect, I wouldn’t trade her for anybody else in the whole wide world.
Would you ever consider turning this into a 2x2?
OOC:
Hi anon! I actually have no idea how old this message is; this blog’s a sideblog so they get buried fairly easily. As you can probably see by now, though, we’ve already expanded it to a 3x3 with Zay/Maya and Lucas/Lava Girl (because who doesn’t love Shark Boy and Lava Girl?) Thank you so much for your interest, though!

Lucas: What did you think you were sick with?
Lucas: I'm glad you're better now, though. Zay was telling me we should sit with you and Maya at lunch today.
Riley: I have, uh, powerfailuritis! It's why I didn't have any powers during hero testing!
Riley: YAY!
Riley: I mean, yes, you should totally do that!
text ✉ rucas
Lucas: You did, but that's okay :)
Lucas: I didn't see you on the bus this morning, are you here?
Riley: Oh... that. I came in a little bit late, my parents took me to the doctor.
Riley: It turns out I'm not sick, though, so don't worry!
text ✉ rucas
Lucas: Hey!
Riley: Hi!
Riley: Wait, I said that already, didn't I?
