“Nice to meet you, Roxanne. I’m Skyler,” she said, smiling lightly. “I’m wrapping up the semester, and taking some days off work, so I call that a good reason to enjoy myself for the night.”

“Skyler,” he repeated, as if he were tasting the sounds on his tongue. “It’s not a common name you hear all the time, I like it,” he complimented and then tipped his head slightly before introducing himself. “Gabriel.” Reaching for his glass he took a sip and cocked hi head to the side a bit. “So are you here to meet someone or just here to wind down with a drink or two?”

skyler blushed slightly, grinning. “Well, thank you, Gabriel,” she said, letting the name roll off her tongue easily. “I have to say, that I haven’t met many with your name, either.” She chuckled a little at his question, shaking her head. “Nope, not meeting anyone. Just needed a night out, so here I am. What about yourself?”

‘Indeed..what brings you out tonight?” she asked, happy the tone had mellowed out somewhat. She ordered two jack and coke, then turned her attention back to the other.

“It’s just been a long few weeks, and i decided to give myself a break,” she said, grinning a little. “What about you?” she asked curiously, tilting her head slightly.

Roxanne chuckled at the sentiment. “Yes, they are,” she added before taking a sip of her drink. She then twisted a bit in her seat and gave Skyler a sheepish look. “I’m sorry. I want to hit on you, right now, but it’s been a long day and my flirting skills are sub-par. You are gorgeous, though. I’ll tell you that.”

Skyler blushed brightly, at the woman’s compliment. “Oh, well, thank you,” she giggled softly. “You’re rather gorgeous, yourself. And, it’s okay, my flirting skills are always pretty sub-par, so there’s that,” she grinned.

“No worries..it ain’t that serious..I just have my issues for reasons,” Karma said, returning the shrug. “What are we drinking? Next round on me.”

“Hey, it’s no big deal,” she said, flashing her a quick grin. “We all have our quirks, right? I was just having a Jack and Coke.”

“I know the feeling,” Roxanne replied before sitting up because her drink arrived. “I’m Roxanne,” she said before holding up her glass. “I’d be glad to join you, Skyler.”

“Sweet,” Skyler said, grinning and lifting her glass to clink their glasses together. “Things are always more fun with company, after all,” she added grinning brighter.

Addie and Lia have showed me a lot of horror movies, which are great, but I think I should branch out.

Horror movies are good, but it’s definitely good to try out some other stuff, too. I’m a sucker for dramas, and romantic comedies, I’ll admit.

“I’ll bet you do. I can’t really think of a person that wouldn’t like to hear it.” The blonde witch certainly had her charms and she seemed a little fueled by alcohol intake so Gabriel knew to proceed with caution. “Bourbon, tonight and most nights.” A few ticks of his finger and the bartender was pouring the billionaire his drink. “What’s your name?” he asked, unable to peel his eyes off of her.

“My name’s Skyler,” she said, with a little grin, sipping at her drink. “And, what about you?” She watched him curiously. She was probably being a little more forward than usual, not drunk, but definitely had a little liquid courage in her, due to the whiskey and coke and she was drinking that night.
