Made it after replaying the icebrood saga
My idea for how to handle the character of The Commander if there's ever a guild wars 3:
-across tyria there are wildly conflicting accounts of the commander’s deeds and who they were
-these varying accounts line up with different personal story choices in gw2
-different species and factions claim the commander was one of their own
-there have been literal wars over who gets to claim the pact commander
-cue Trahearne Junior's speech about the history of the Guild Wars... 2!
-eventually you get a post-story end game quest where you find a lead on some actual documented, uncontested history of the commander
-it's long as fuck and extremely difficult and expensive
-the quest leads you to an elderly, ancient, snargle goldclaw
-the last living person to have personally known the commander
-he rambles on about his life and novels for a literal eternity
-only after you sit and listen through ALL his life stories including a bunch of different hidden dialogue branches do you unlock the option to ask about the pact commander
-he confirms that canonically, the Official Canon Pact Commander... "was the bravest choya i ever knew"
-he then immediately dies peacefully of old age
civilian in the free city of amnoon snarked at me for being able to kill balthazar but not be able to stop his pets from getting eaten by sand sharks so i asked him how many pets he has and he says he just goes to the stablemaster unja afterwards and gets a new one so i said it sounds like he’s just feeding springers to sand sharks and his daughter started crying
i didn't even personally like that soo-won is the mother of the other elder dragons but i have to admit that there's this curiously recurring throughline in guild wars 2 storylines that's like, the burden mothers cause for their children even if they're not ill-intentioned or 'bad' people. glint has a clutch of eggs with the intent of replacing the elder dragons that preceded her, and then dies; both of her in-plot children are crushed by the weight of the destiny they were made for. the pale tree has her children born with a life's calling to fulfill. they really kick this up to a hysterical notch with the icebrood saga preceding soo-won's appearance, and if this is the direction it must go, i REALLY like that they chose to make that the story that funnels into that ending, from the initial conceptual standpoint anyway. eir wanted to continue to carve out her own legend in a way that did not involve raising a child - her and the father of her child mutually happily agreed that the father would raise the son, braham eirsson -- in norn culture, your parent's name is explicitly a part of yours. there's a charr named ryland steelcatcher, son of rytlock brimstone and crecia stoneglow, and no aspect of their names goes to his last name -- his last name pertains to his own actions. there is a legacy and familial tie that rests over both these characters. there are two dragons with a familial tie to each other that the dragons want to destroy. they are the children of a mother that at that point we are yet to see..

Guild Wars 2 Murals
Stone murals for the story of Astri Stjarna, the original character of commissioner from the world of the Guild Wars 2 game, which is closely related to the Owl Spirit, revered by the Norns.
Asura are fuzzy like apricots, change my mind.
He just can't get rid of him. (Rhywel's still lost... or is he?) Continuation of this Previous Post
I really really love in game music events but the guild wars 2 metal legion concert just blows the competition out of the water for me. the fact that it's integrated into the storyline for the area with the songs being in universe propaganda is fascinating and the event itself is like hands down the best and most fun way to do an event like that I've ever experienced. you spend the whole time trying to keep the show going which means constant chaotic mini events where you do things like jump in a moshpit or stand in for backup dancers or fix the exploding equipment while all the while beating back fans swarming the performers whose parts of the song will disappear if they get knocked out. it ends with you having to destroy a giant burning metal effigy of a dragon that will sometimes just pick you up into the air and chuck you into the crowd who are all giant cat people. everyone on earth download the video game guild wars 2.
So anyway, today I learnt: the /bless emote works on the chickens in Diessa Plateau.
My goal is to draw a proper fullbody of each of my characters at least once. One down, thirtyfive more to go. I have too many character slots...
For now enjoy Zhealif in his newest armor.
Playing GW2 because i'm a furry and also picked Ranger because I wasn't sure what to do. Tips?
as a ranger, you can steal this guy's dog, and then when he gets a cat to rebound from it, you can steal his cat
