I had an unclear idea for what I wanted to do for Pride Month art with my Commander/Wayfinder (Commfinder lol) but I surprised myself once I sat down to draw it!
I guess I will make a few more with my other characters in this kind of art nouveau inspired style.
The flag colors behind Michael are from aromantic and asexual flag!
Enya's Astral Ward AU version. A different Enya from an alternate Tyria where she's part of the Astral Ward as a Rift Hunter and where she lives in a dorm together with Kiró and three others: Soraya, Ove and Tibbok.
Her partner is Kiró who's a field medic and astronomy student who patches her up both mentally and physically, after a long hard fight, with lots of love. 🥺💚
I really need to flesh this whole AU out because I'm having such a blast coming up with ideas and scenario's I really would like to visualize...

Happy June and happy Pride, everyone! If there's any month where I actually make my announcement post on time, this is the one to do it - next Saturday (June 6th) will be the first Saturday of a new month, which means it's time for another art party hosted by my guild, [VS] Verdant Shield!
For those not familiar, art parties are a concept carried over from Final Fantasy XIV: in-game get-togethers for artists of all kinds to hang out, chat, and create together! For GW2 parties there’s more of an emphasis on hanging out and gathering references during the party itself, and then in the days/weeks following to work on your creations at your own pace and then post to the shared art party tag. We’ve used the same one (#VSArtParty) since the very beginning so you can go allll the way back and explore what people have made! The most important thing to keep in mind though is this: the ‘goal’ of an art party isn’t to be drawn, but to draw others, and share with the community!
Time and /squadjoin information is below the cut, but will also be posted again on the day of the party as squads go up!
Location Information:
I've decided to make the Lion's Arch Gate in Gendarran Fields the Official June/Pride Party Location™, since it's a spot that Tyria Pride marchers have passed through every year, and will pass through again later this month during the event! It's super easy to get to via either the literally-right-there Cornucopian Fields Waypoint, or by walking north out of Lion's Arch (Trader's Forum Waypoint would be closest)!
Time & Squad Details:
As always, there’ll be two parties - the first one on EU servers and the second on NA ones - with an hour break in between!
The EU server party will begin at 9pm Central European Summer Time (aka 3pm Eastern Daylight Time or 5 hours before in-game reset). I’ll be hosting this one on my EU alt account, so please either /whisper or /squadjoin Paranomalous Plexxi for a taxi invite if you don’t end up on the right map!
The NA server party will begin 1 hour after the EU party’s official end, at 7pm Eastern Daylight Time (aka 1am Central European Summer Time or 1 hour before in-game reset). I’ll be on my main account for this one, so please /whisper or /squadjoin Kirslyn for a taxi invite if you don’t see my customary white cat tag hanging around on your map!

my other thought is that rebel and eve stay long enough at the post-zhaitan pact party to make appearances, but then disappear to resolve their sexual tension. so theyre fwbs with developing feelings post-PS - lws2, then ill just have to see once i get through HoT onwards

i know this isnt a new or novel concept, but rebel gets granted her reaper abilities by the seventh reaper during the 'cathedral of silence' quest in PS. it's a mote of power to awaken latent abilities, inheriting a colder aura whenever she activates her reaper's shroud because it's (allegedly) from the reaper of the ice wastes. i think it's something done out of necessity; the seventh reaper recognizing how weak they have become when unable to defend a threat against the temple, while also an aknowledgement of her potential + loyalty to grenth
WHICH HONESTLY she struggles to grasp these newfound abilities, since she gains them in the middle of the war against zhaitan 😬 a fact shes frustrated by! for sure! when she could have prevented deaths like zott's without her clumsily brute forcing her reaper-isms. ultimately, it works out since her co-commanders and allies are there to pick up the slack when she fails, but still! it pisses rebel off that this unwanted upgrade caused her so much grief
rebel does make it a point to train before lws1 properly begins, then hones her abilities through everything afterwards. so she does get used to it eventually, it just takes time
