I’ve seen a lot of DCxDP interpretations of Gotham as a city spirt. Butttt rather than a protective guardian the spirt of the city represents all of Gotham and is intervening on the side of the rouges.

Gotham is not happy. There’s too many bats running around now and the villains are loosing their creative spark. She takes one look at whatever mess is going on in Amity Park and goes YES. I need that.

Cue whatever ghost is mentoring Danny to talking him into spending a gap year haunting Gotham. He descends on the city with Lady Gotham ready to cause mayhem.

Does he know he’s being tricked into being the newest rouge? Nope. Does he keep accidentally causing problems? Absolutely, yes. Batman’s vibes are kind of off and Gotham doesn’t like him so he’s keeping clear. This internship may be unpaid but he’s going to get so much ghost experience for his resume.

i've seen it pointed out here and there, but the closest thing adult stolas wears to his teen outfit is the outfit from 'ozzie's'.

and between this, and the reveal that the light streak in his hair was always there but hidden by magic…

and his sad confession in 'apology tour'…

i think it has become increasingly clear that in 'ozzie's', stolas wanted to play out a fantasy. but not a fantasy out of a romantic movie or a telenovela, but his own personal fantasy, of showing someone who he really is, and being accepted for it. he wasn't thrusting some romantic role on blitzo, he was just trying to be his most authentic self, and hoped blitzo would want him.

and it went spectacularly wrong.

The new Zatanna comic was fantastic but it included a gorgeous map of the multiverse. One Google search later and I have come to the conclusion that I will either need to watch a 5 hour video essay or give in to reading Sandman to understand the cosmology.
