Can we talk more about how people in the queer community push the option that there is a "correct" way to be non-binary?

I'm mainly talking about how AMAB non-binary people are expected to present feminine, and AFAB non-binary are expected to present masculine. Because otherwise your gender and identity is always questioned.

And this doesn't even get into how Black and Brown people of the community are constantly critiqued for their appearance, as "idealistic" standards for trans feminine/masculine/androgenous comes from white beauty standards.

You look at shows and media with a non-binary AFAB person, who presents feminine, and their identity is always questioned. Why? Why do this?

It's transphobic and exorsexist. The community's perception of the correct way to present is deeply transphobic, as it says you cannot present the way your assigned sex at birth typically presents.

I'm very new to tumblr and I've just started getting involved in transfeminism/trans unity and I'm really disappointed in how transmascs are being treated when talking about our oppression.

Before I started getting involved in those spaces, I felt very odd about how I was being treated within my community as a trans man both irl and online. I felt excluded and only acknowledged as a man during discussions of patriarchy, essentially erasing how I have suffered at the hands of the patriarchy.

It wasn't until I discovered what transandrophobia was that I finally found the words to describe what I was experiencing. I had never felt so seen.

I then went on to discover that there is a group of trans people that genuinely believe transandrophobia is not real and that if you "believe in it" you are an MRA. (Which is grossly watering down what actual MRAs are. They literally advocate for violence against women.)

If you think that trans men have just made up their oppression to use it against women, you are transphobic and are not in touch with reality.

Also, thank you so so so much to all the transfems who are standing alongside transmascs against this rise in radfem rhetoric within our community. You do not deserve all of the hatred coming from your own community just for supporting others.

Okay here's my hot take, losing interest in a trans man when he becomes more masc, either due to testosterone, surgeries, or just presentation, is transphobic.

Difficult concept for some people to grasp, but being into trans men means you're into MEN, shocker; expecting him not to embrace his masculinity is a horrible thing to do to him.

Trans men, if you've got a partner that makes you feel like you can't be as masc as you want to be, fucking dump them; you can do better <3
