He and his brother had always loved going to work but something was different. It felt like the direction they had had changed and he wasn't sure what to do about it. Soon he would get Matt and Tyson together and see if they could form a plan, but he hated to bother Tyson right now. He didn't need the stress and should be able to just enjoy being back and working with his boyfriend.
Nick laughed as he walked inside and shut the door behind him. "I'll take tea." He interjected as he followed her to the kitchen. "I didn't want Alicia to get hired but Max said it would be fine. And don't get me started on Mariah. Britt can more than handle her on though." He said thinking about that last statement. Old Britt could but truth was he worried about her since she had returned. Her whole professional world, both of them was turned upside down. Luckily Max and Jamie remained consistent at her side. Jamie was never in question, but he had worried about Max. Oddly Max hadn't run and instead was proving to be in it for all the right reasons. Maybe the guy wasn't so bad after all. "I just want to see her shut Mariah's smug mouth once and for all." Jamie had jumped her fellow Brit once already and Nick knew Toni was trying to keep the two apart as best she could. Toni had stepped up a lot while Britt was out and just wanted peace in the division. It wasn't that Toni wanted Britt's spot, they had known each other for years and Britt had held her up when she was disgruntled about the whole Thunder Rosa and interim champion thing. Nick assumed this was Toni returning that favor and making sure things didn't implode while Britt was out.
