Don't use text! Just don't!

Its amazing how many companies still write lengthy, wordy guides to explain things. It takes a lot of tedious effort to construct and the unfortunate reality is most users won't bother with them.

Sorry, but people just don't learn as well from words. Its probably because images are more easily recalled. At least, that's what the science says.

Remember that scene from the Matrix where Trinity learns how to fly the helicopter in 15 seconds?

Imagine if they'd given her a textbook to read instead!?

Forgot to blog because we’ve been so caught up in dev!

We’ve done some early user testing and already had some useful feedback. All things going well there is a new release planned that we hope to share with an even wider group.

We are particularly excited to try slideshot soon with some talented Support Engineers who do this kind of stuff every day :-)

This week I was collaborating with a colleague on a website front end, and I wanted to show him what the site looked like on my device (there was a bug when rendering it in Safari).

Of course I had to take the shot, open a “send file” dialog and then click the shot on my desktop.

Would’ve been nicer if all that stuff happened automagically. Then I could just take the shot and say “it’s in my share.”
