Absolutely wild how it took me 5 years to realize why one of my traumas that on the surface should be minimal in comparison to my other ones is the one that I remember most vividly. Absolutely wild that I literally just figured it out while I was explaining my boundaries and rules to some one. Absolutely wild that I now have no idea what to do with this information and I feel just as helpless as I did 5 years ago when it happened. And that my behavior still reflects the lengths to which I’ll go to avoid that kind of situation again.
