i just watched maul: shadow lord here's my commentary on this

if you haven't watched the show scroll on NOW because there's gonna be a lot of spoilers.

💫 maul's character is pissing me off but he's so fine (his voice acting???? hello???????) so this one goes to the simps 💫 what IS it with maul and his obsession with kidnapping children.

💫 devon looks so precious but if i were her i'd smack the shit out of maul too (idk. it's only episode 2 and this guy is ragebaiting me)

💫 i LOVE the animation style, story telling and the worldbuilding that goes with it. i grew up with star wars rebels and honestly?? maul: shadow lord is a HUGE jump from it.

i also love the fact that it's star wars but not exactly in the way people think? any fandom is recognizeable because of the characters i.e. star wars being recognized for the stormtroopers, darth vader etc. but you see new faces and new personalities and somehow it's still star wars

also the very minimal empire propaganda. no star destroyers, tie fighters, stormtroopers or walkers but there's still the looming threat of the empire,,

point is; i love the way maul: shadow lord's worldbuilding because it's quite far from the most popular worldbuilding level of star wars but it's still within the canon in a way

there's just something really cruel and insidious about this wave of scams going after creatives. You get an email and think someone genuinely loved what you made but - no. It's another scam. It's someone trying to trick you into sending them money. On AO3, it might literally just be a bot someone made specifically to be a hateful little shit.

putting the stuff you've made out there for everyone to see is hard and scary and we're all just bumping around looking for a bit of appreciation and love and connection and these bastards are using that to try to rob us. I hate it.

@buticaaba you are absolutely correct! My dad hates vapes. He says the lungs of cig smokers look black and kind of like asphalt, and that the lungs of vape smokers retain their pink color but are covered in burn like blisters. He participated in a double lung transplant on a 20 year old vape smoker and has done multiple drainings of vape smoker lungs that filled with fluids because they’re absolutely full of blisters.

When you smoke cigs you’re clogging your lungs with tar and other nasty stuff, but when you hit a vape you’re quite literally giving your lungs chemical burns.

thank you for posting about this cucumber person because they started interacting with me which i was excited about bc yay slugterra fan, but then i saw their content and got extremely uncomfortable. at first i thought i was being dramatic but im happy to know im not the only one who is creeped out. it's crazy that people are bold enough to be this weird in a fandom for a kid show. needless to say they are blocked.
