“Here, let me help you,” she offered, bending down to gather her papers and handing them over once she had done so. “What is all of this?” she inquired, glancing over at the woman curiously.
“Thanks,” she said doing the same. She held the papers in her hands and laughed lightly. “Applications, actually. I’m finally working on hiring people. It’s not really interesting.”

“You said you were the one doing the talkin Tink.” Killian lifted an eyebrow, looking at her seriously.
“Fine. You take things so literal.” She sighed. “Alright. I’ll update you. I have been either at work or at home. I’ve been gone so long my place was collecting cobwebs and dust and it was just...not good. So I have been restocking the fridge, doing mundane shit and I thought...Wow, you know what I haven’t done in weeks? Bother my ex. So here I am.”

Killian set a shot of vodka in front of her and nodded. “that good?”
“It’s a start,” she said with a half smile. “So talk. Update me. I’ve been so busy with work that it feels like forever.”
Mel had gotten halfway home when she realized she had left her phone at Killian’s office. Usually she would just leave it and get it tomorrow, but Olafr had become a huge fan of some game called Angry Birds and she couldn’t bear to disappoint him. Walking into the bar, she had her head down, causing her to walk right into someone. “I am so very sorry. I should have been watching where I was walking. Are you alright?”
Tink wasn’t watching where she was going. She had been so scatter-brained; diving headfirst into the work she’s missed and trying to organize her life unsuccessfully. When she did smack into Mel her papers went flying. She bent over to pick them up, waving the girl off. “Don’t worry about it. I was just as much at fault.”

“How about I drink and talk. I’m great at both of those things.”
“What do you want to drink.”
She shrugged. "Surprise me, darling. Just make it hard and bitter."

“Well me of course. Back home, I used to throw amazing parties, but I had Big Daddy to fund them. This year’s will have to be smaller, but maybe if I start buying things slowly over this amount of time, it won’t be as bad?”
“Amazing parties you say? Tell me more. What types of amazing parties did you throw?” She smiled at the girl. “Hey, you might get lucky. Either way a good party planner makes the smallest events feel big, right?”
“Drink or talk, but don’t just sit there lurking.”
“How about I drink and talk. I’m great at both of those things.”
“Do you think three months is too early to start planning a birthday party?”
“It is never to early to start planning a birthday party. Who’s it for?”
“This is rather interesting…wanna try?”
“How many times is it appropriate to say yes?”

“Here. It’s all yours.” Alec held out the bottle for her with a shrug.
She took the bottle from him, letting her hand linger on his for a small moment. Even on her worst days, she was a flirt. “Thanks. Not many people are this generous with their booze.”

“….Fairly desparate? I..” Trick fully focused on who was in front of him and grinned. “Hey Tink.”
She grinned and walked over to him so she could ruffle his hair. “Hey there, Trick. I don’t know if event planning is really something you want to do? It’s pretty stressful, I would know. I’m basically my only employee....You know what? I think I might have something for you to do.”
“I, uh…hi. I’m looking for a job and was wondering if you’d be able to help?”
“How desperate are you, Trick?”

“I’ve an extra bottle if you want it.”
“I would love it, actually.”

“I am not entirely sure. I do not own this establishment. I simply work here,” she stated, keeping her eyes turned downwards. “May I ask why you chose to have your ‘welcome back’ drink here, of all places?”
“Uh huh. Well, I like this place. Brings back a lot of good memories. I was also hoping to run into an old friend. At least, I kind of was hoping to.”

“No, I just left. Do I look like I’m capable of flipping anyone on their behinds?” she asked with a soft laugh. “I would have broken a nail.”
“Anyone is capable of kicking ass if they need to.” She laughed a bit. “A broken nail could easily be fixed if you know the right people.”
