I'm a bit curious. I've been maining as Olimar mostly for my Sm4shing playtime because I just really like using him and just trying to be difficult to read by being a total carrot throwing spaz. Only problem I have with him is the random times when a Pikmin decides not to be used in a move or goes rocketing off the stage like he hit a bumper. What do you think of 'em?

Well, Olimar's Pikmin do work in a cycle; I believe it's the same as it was in Brawl. And of course, all Pikmin have different properties. For example, Yellow and White are lighter, so they'll fly farther when thrown...and when hit, they'll go sailing off into the abyss. 

The Pikmin AI isn't the best when they miss their throw, also. Generally, if you miss their target, they're dead faced with any remotely competent opponent.

My advice is train yourself with his tilts and aerials. They're actually extremely effective.

I look at all the complaints about lack of wavedashing, chain grabbing or other such exploits.

Yeah guys, those are called bugs and failures in game design. Not strategy. You are basically saying that the Infinite Knuckles Jump in Sonic Boom would be a viable tactic in that regard. Sakurai found those things, he didn't design them intentionally; that's why they were removed freaking ASAP.

I guess you'll just have to settle for a game wherein nearly the entire roster is actually serviceable in competitive play instead of nothing but Fox, Falco, Captain Falcon, Sheik and Jigglypuff. Boo-hoo, variety. How shall we go on.
