[Releases four small seagulls in the bat cave]
ROBIN 5 GET THESE FUCKING SEAGULLS OUT OF THE BATCAVE
Slides Robin 3 a fizzy juice in a monster can.
You can have mine after the other anon stole yours?
Thank U! Ur my favourite anon now
*"HOMESICK" by MICO playing in the background*
Aight, Robin 5, it's your turn. Since you're currently in a relationship with Superboy 2 (Jon), I dare you two to display PDA in front of the family. If you don't... "ORACLE GET HIS PHONE AND DISPLAY IT'S THROUGH THE BATCOMPUTER!!!" it's what I'll do IF you chose not to comply:))
Oh yeah, what happened to Batman nowadays? Which colorful clown/non-clown is he sticking his tongue with this time?
Robin 5 tried to tackle U through the batcomputer, but he agrees and held hands with Superboy in front of B!!! It was so funny to see the reaction on both B's and Superboy's face! I've never seen two people look so happy and both so confused at the same time.
I think Batman is fucking Catwoman again? Idk they start this thing up every 2 years it's hard man.
The Steph-cuts-her-hair-short-because-it-bothers-her-under-her-Spoiler-mask to Steph-now-has-her-hair-just-hanging-there-loosely-getting-sweaty-under-her-hood-and-in-her-face pipeline saddens me.
I know it's not popular to obsess over practicality in superhero comics (And BQM even included a little jab at fans like me complaining about her hair in her Batgirl solo THANKS BRYAN) (the Babscowl bothers me less than her current look though because at least the cowl keeps it out of her face)
But the fact the comics showed her actively worrying about her hair:
Then deciding to go with a ponytail sticking out to deal with this:
THEN cutting it short to deal with it:
Just made her feel really real to me. It was one of the things that made me connect to her so hard, that she felt like a real teenage girl even in the minor details like that. And the fact this was all implied, she never SAID that the ponytail was to deal with her hair under the mask, she never SAID the hair being short was to help with the mask, it was just something you noticed if you remember that Robin #25 panel and connected the dots.
It also SAYS something about Steph. The fact she cut her hair for the sake of being Spoiler shows how much more she prioritizes her life as a superhero over her civilian life, and how she took it even more seriously as time passed. It also gave the implication she likes to be comfortable, which you could see extend to her choice in a really practical costume.
But that kind of started slowly disintegrating as time went on, and while teen me was dramatic about it, I do look back on it and be like, "man, I miss that careful continuity in the little details of her life".
Thinking about Bruce putting some of Dick's old clothes into a charity bin to be handed out to kids in need in Gotham and then a couple of years later he is checking the tags of some of Jason's clothes because one of the moms sent a message around about people checking if their kid might have accidentally grabbed her kid's jacket by mistake and he finds a faded 'D. Grayson' tag in Jason's jacket and realises that Jason ended up with some of Dick's old clothes and is just standing there on the edge of tears.
In the event of another 9/11 situation, what's the bat protocol? - 🌙
Save civilians. That's our only priority. Anyone we can save we will try. Call JLA, get superman obviously. If we know about the threat before anything happens, call the Supers to help immediatly.
