Hey guys, technically I started this blog to translate captions on Sailor Moon fanart, but the big news from Japan that there's going to be a NEW Sailor Moon anime starting next summer (tears spring to this old gal's eyes at the mere prospect), so I've decided that my job as a Sailor Moon fan and translator is to bring you the latest news from Japan for your hungry little brains. Here's one article already, I'll be doing more as more information comes out.

No one I've seen writing in English has yet mentioned that Osa-P was at the event, too, which to me lends WAY more legitimacy to the new project. So exciting. Stay posted, everyone!

New Anime "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" starts in 2013, Momokuro will Sing Theme Song The "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" 20th anniversary event took place on July 6th at Nicofarre in Tokyo's Roppongi district. The event featured the voices of main character Tsukino Usagi (Mitsuishi Kotono) and Chiba Mamoru (Furuhata Tooru). At France's Japan Expo, the band Momoiro Clover Z performed a live and extravagant show via internet relay. There was some big news announced at this anniversary event. In the summer of 2013, a new "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" anime will be produced. If it airs during the summer, it will have been 16 years since the series ended. Due to the series's deep cultural significance in Japan and hit status around the world, this is sure to be big news. The announcement came from Momoiro Clover Z in Paris. This is because the group will be performing the theme song to the new anime. This was the first time that Momoiro Clover Z appeared dressed as Sailor Senshi and that information about the new anime and theme song was released. Everyone was surprised but happy as the group performed "Moonlight Densetsu," the series's theme, live from Paris.
