Why can't I finish a thing?
It's crazy being the type of neurodivergent that likes to start new projects and never finish them. Was going through my Google Docs and found a Witcher fic I was writing that's 16 pages. Might replay the game to spark my motivation again

[Canon Divergence]
Can be written as one-shot or longer story. This is a pretty detailed one, specifically around the Reader/OC meeting the 141.
Reader/OC is older/younger/twin sister of Gary "Roach" Sanderson.
She owns a small café/bookstore.
She has only ever heard of and met Price and Roach never talked about her to the team.
Roach dies during a mission and one of his requests to Price was to help her with funeral arrangements and make sure she isn’t alone during the process.
Ghost and Soap don't know why Price had the team come to this specific town.
They walk around and end up at her café, not knowing who she is. Price stayed outside to finish a call while they went in.
She has no reaction to Ghost's mask, and is super nice.
She converses with them a bit and Soap tries to get Ghost to talk with her more, thinking she's interested in him.
While she is on the way over to their table with their order, Price walks in.
She glances over while welcoming him in but dead stops when she notices who he is.
The drinks slip from her hand. She's in so much shock the burn of hot liquid doesn't register.
Price gives her an 'I'm sorry' look as he removes his cap.
Ghost realizes what's going on and starts to stand on instinct. She crumples to the floor sobbing. Price comforts her.
Once she's calmed down he introduces the team to her and Price tells her what happened and what Roach asked of him.
They all stay at her home for the time it takes.
When she asks for a minute alone, Ghost quietly follows her out onto the balcony a few minutes later to bandage her hand from the burn, even if she doesn't really need it.
Her and Ghost get closer while he's there. Ghost tells her stories about Roach since they were close. She says he never talked about her to keep her safe.
Eventually happy ending.

Price tells them the safehouse is owned by an old friend of Laswell (secretly a civilian intelligence agent that translates/interprets for the US military, she knows multiple languages)
Ghost recognizes her when they arrive, but doesn't give anything away.
Ghost is more cold than usual, not wanting to talk at all.
Soap makes comment about a photo of her and Simon as children (Simon is unrecognizable to them).
Looking sad, she says he was a dear friend that passed (was told by neighbors the entire family died in fire when she returned to UK, assuming he was too).
Simon, now knowing she doesn't hate him, reveals himself to her.
Optional: Reader/OC has a dog named Riley.

A/N: this is a prompt I've actually been attempting to write. I always start stories, but have a hard time finishing them. 😅
○ Reader/OC is a mercenary known (specifically in Russia) as Baba Yaga.
○ She retired after being labeled MIA/KIA. (Went off grid because she was targeted by Shepard when she tried exposing him)
○ She owes Price and Laswell a favor after he saved her life and they kept her location a secret.
○ She helps on a mission to repay him.
○ She knows multiple languages and is a killer. Basically like a female John Wick mixed with Black Widow.
○ Ghost doesn’t trust her because she's a mercenary. He assumes she's in it for money at first.
○ She gains his trust by saving one of the team either over info or in general (i.e in a fight)
○ Like an enemies to lovers kinda thing

○ They have to quarantine back at base together, but there's only 1 quarantine room with small attached bathroom.
○ They take turns showering and changing into clean clothes.
○ Clothes are taken for samples to test substance.
○ Reader/OC gets progressively hotter, and catches themself looking at Ghost too much.
○ Ghost is as stoic as usual, but starts to move restlessly.
○ Once she figures out what the drug does, she asks to be separated from Ghost (having a secret crush on him, drug affect is stronger when there already is attraction present).
○ Price says it's the only room and they have to stay together.
○ She paces back and forth to alleviate pressure while Ghost silently sits seemingly reading.
○ Ghost starts to get agitated with her pacing and tells her to sit.
○ Due to the sexual tension, she snaps at him, causing an argument to ensue.
○ They eventually get in each other's faces and start to get physical.
Optional: they start to physically fight/wrestle before smut.

○ Reader/OC goes outside on covered deck/patio "for some air" to get away
FOR GHOST FIC:
○ Ghost joins her to smoke
○ They briefly talk about things
○ Everyone else has retired for the night. Price in 1 guest bedroom, and Soap and Gaz passed out on couch or chair in living room.

○ She notices them following and leads them to a dead end alley where they think they have the upper hand.
○ Before Ghost can intervene she kicks all of their asses.
○ Ghost (and Price) later finds out she's on temporary suspension because her whole team died on a mission and she's under psych eval.
○ Price asks her to join 141 after reading her file.
○ She accepts, knowing no other unit will want her after the incident.
○ She and Ghost bond over trauma, basically.
Optional: sprinkle in some Ghost helping her through PTSD episodes and vice versa
